As someone that is considering a Pro, I really dislike the Pro rack and would probably remove it immediately! I really feel the obnoxious design of the Pro rack is to solely identify it as a Pro - like a beacon. Otherwise one would have to be within 10 feet of the vehicle to know it is a Pro. The fact that it's functionality is poor further justifies it's removal in my mind!

I think it was a misguided nod to the FJ legacy. If they'd just made it a fully enclosed rectangle with a real basket floor and beefier crossbars it would be fine. As is, the open sloping front just wastes space. I'm thinking of getting the Baja drop-in basket for it, but then I'd lose the crossbars altogether. Hoping for some other aftermarket solutions to come along.

Yeah, I’m in the 35,000th group for a cybertruck. Trying to save my $$.

I totally agree, YetiMtnBkr, about the Pro roof rack. For all the things Toyota does right, how did they let that through the design committee? Makes you shake your head! Even the stock rack looks like it came off a 1982 Oldsmobile station wagon. Look at the cool rack on the new Defender, guys! Hire a young person from design school, and let them do it, lol. It was one of the first things I changed - I put on a 3/4 Front Runner rack. Done, perfect, looks good, lots of functionality, quiet, and doesn’t interfere with the sun roof.
