Our other vehicle is a 2.4H Turbo outback with the CVT. It's peppy, but that CVT is an odd feeling. On the highway, however, it's smooth as silk. Bought the warranty, kinda nervous about the Turbo + CVT.

Unfortunately our Outback is a 4-cyl 2011, before they went back to the turbo. Zero pep in its step.

It was posted in the 5th Gen Forum where a guy called and they said it was available, but the price had gone up a bit...

just oil for the supercharger. Really the only thing different. Not sure what the compression is on the gt500, but it was something like 9:1 on the 03/04 cobras (which I had a couple of)

But this post is pretty spot on (and a year old). Super chargers are a blast and heat soak quickly lol. Hoping to get one on the 4Runner. Just don’t have an extra $7k laying around at the moment ;)

I am looking forward to the hearing about the first person to run this in their 2021. I think it will add so much to an already awesome vehicle!!

Wonder how they got access to the ECU. Did a TSB ECU update come out to allow access to the OEM bin file/tune? Or did they finally manage to crack the existing OEM tune/ECU?

Been waiting for something like this to happen so that I can add 2020-21MY 4runners to the YotaWerx list of supported vehicles.

Plus, the wife wants to supercharge her 2020 anyway lol

I was incredibly interested in the SC for the 4Runner but as time has gone on I think I'd rather not deal with premium fuel and heat considering I go to remote deserts where you sometimes can't find all grades of octane.

Otherwise, very interested in the results. And, of course, in no way do I want to drive a SC 4Runner, that would be expensive.....

Don't anyone get too excited. I've been in contact with both Magnuson and UDR about a supercharger for 2020 4R and it is not available yet. But if there is someone close to Underdog Racing Development, they are ready to test on a vehicle but need one closer than I am.

It won't happen until a Toyota TSB for ECU update is released.

Best course of action in the meantime is to go to Toyota dealers and basically play dumb and ask if there's a tsb or ECU update available for the 2020+, and report things like poor shifting, poor power (particularly in mountain roads, inclines, things like that), poor acceleration.

There's actually already a tsb listing out if you do a little bit of googling that instructs service techs to document these customer complaints, so they clearly expect to provide a tsb ECU update eventually. Almost every prior ECU version/model year has one available already, but obviously they've been out longer too.

I will check my alldata when I get to work tommorow . I wasn’t worried about it at first when I got my truck but now I got about 12k miles on it and I think it’s time to juice her up a bit .

I personally agree and believe it doesn't gear hunt badly. Hell, for automatics in general I'm okay with shifting because, well, it's an AT.

But I've had some tune customers reach out complaining about stock tune gear hunting, so there's some people out there nonetheless that don't like the OE shift logic.

I know this is a 2020+ thread, so the people here don't have a Magnuson supercharged 2020+ yet, but if you're here and reading this and have a 2010-19 MagSC 4R, I'd like to get input on this and see if there's a demand for an aftermarket tune for trucks with the Magnuson supercharger.

Just got that same email from Magnuson today :). Given the gas prices being what they are... I don't mind the months wait lol. Pretty stoked nonetheless.

Does anyone on here run the Magnuson SC with an S&B intake? Just curious whether or not it will throw any codes with their stock tune.
