I missed that it doesn't happen while idling.

    Sounds wind related.
Have you checked that single crossbar you have on the roof?

Brakes. Check all disks: raise the vehicle, spin fronts and look for drag, put gear selector in neutral, then spin rears. Don't forget to check parking brake drums, if dragging adjust using flat head screwdriver. I'm almost 100% certain based on your sound clips you have low thickness on rear caliper or drum shoe dragging (those will make such sound if glazed due to constant contact and heat). G.L.

Oh my, how does that make that noise? It is driving me crazy. I am going to be selling it as my new one has arrived. But I really need to get rid of that noise. I have spent almost 6000 trying to find what the noise is.

Too many mods and too much money
Pull the blower motor out and spray it with some silicone lubricant where the squirel cage spins on its axle housing This might quiet the squeaking long enough to sell it.
My 2012 fan makes this noise on medium speed. Don't hear it on the high setting.

$6000?? I have to say on behalf of the group, sorry this happened to you. All of us hate to see this kind of wasted time and money. Stay active on the forums and let us know how your new 4Runner is treating you.

Kind of sounds like it was expensive. Wonder if the transfer case had to come out for this.

He already said companion flange and seal. So they either replaced just the seal, or they replaced the companion and the seal. Not that hard to figure out.

Like I asked, what did they do? Did they replace the seal or both. I also asked the cost involved. Since you are not the OP I am not sure why you are commenting.

I'll disregard your comment "not that hard to figure out" since it seems to be said in a derogatory way.

Put it on lift, drive it up to speed, listen for noise.
