Hi Tulli, The place that did my PPF and ceramic coat. The ceramic coat is BC 1 and the PPF is Stek paint protection. They call it a track wrap the full front of the 4runner and mirrors and up the pillars. Along the sides of the doors up about a foot and behind the rear wheels. Also what I like they removed the mudflaps and the wrap is under that so now I don’t have to worry about the mudflaps cutting into the paint from rubbing. The reason I know this from having other 4Runners and Tacoma’s. Just the vibration makes the mudflaps move.
As far as the tint i only had my front doors done to match and that’s ceramic. This is my second vehicle I had done with PPF and ceramic coat. Hope this helps.

Nice! I did the exact same thing + a few extra bits (door cups, inner door sills, rear bumper for the dog jumping in/out).

Think my guy uses Expel for the PPF and IGL for the ceramic coating. Have it one of my other cars too and has held up amazing these past few years.

Awesome, Yes I forgot the door cups he added. Yeah I left the rear bumper go cause I have a dog blanket that covers that. So I just decided to pass on the rear bumper.

Just a quick update: If you get a Wescot Design or C4 Fab Ladder, I definitely recommend getting new struts for your rear hatch. I went with Part Number: PM4005 at Lift Supports Direct. Just received and installed them in a matter of minutes with the help of my next door neighbor. They are perfect and I’m sure they could handle allot more weight if I wanted but getting groceries on a cold day and not having the hatch hit me in the head is all I need.

Anybody with SO do bronze wheels? I saw the one pic in here with the Heritage bronze. I have bronze SCS BR6's that are brand new on my GX470 which is black - looks great. Thinking about possibly moving to a 4runner and want to keep the wheel / tire setup. Not sure if they'd look best on SO or Underground. I know they'd look good on most of the other colors.

This may help you get an idea of what it would look like; google 40th anniversary 4Runner and look at the red 4Runner. It’s by far not identical but it’s close enough that it would persuade me not to go with the bronze wheels. BTW: Those bronze wheels look awesome on the black 40th anniversary 4Runner.

Let’s see how long the raptor lights work. Before I have to add a light bar in its place. Lol. IMG_4772.jpg

It’s stunning in the snow. I have mixed feelings with the sharing the Solar Octane color with the other trims but that’s just me being a spoiled brat…..lol. I have owned a lot of cars and I can honestly say this has been my favorite color. Great picture BTW! And Welcome to the Group.

Also, the ORP is definitely the best value. If you don’t mind sharing, what was your out-the-door price? I’m just curious.

    Thank you

I'm not sure what the out the door cost would have been as I traded in my tundra. The subtotal was $66219 but then there would have been taxes on that. Looks like I saved $8508 in taxes and paid $1106 in taxes. So maybe $75830 Canadian

So I paid an extra $12,000 USD for a roof rack and tires that I got rid of in the first year. That leaves my suspension which I value at $2300 so you got roughly a $10,000 USD better deal than me …. Good Job!!

    Great shot!

Hard to tell much from that pic… are those bronze Icon’s?

Any other close-up pics of the wheels?

A few months ago I saw a Solar Octane Pro pass me heading south on I-15, which made a big impression. I decided I couldn’t miss out on that color and likely the last year of a Gen5, so I switched a deposit on the new Tacoma over to an incoming ORP. It arrived this week. I’ve never been so impressed with the quality of a new vehicle. Super happy to finally have a 4R.

I was planning to change to TRD wheels and blacking it out, but now I’m going to keep the stock OR look. The silver accents look better than I thought they would and it might be the only year. Thanks to the original Pro crowd for sharing this fantastic color.

I'm in northern Utah in Eden. We spend a lot of time in St. George as well. I see you're also in Utah. Maybe it was you I saw that caught my eye!

Lol. I saw I-15 and thought it might have been me. Two ways to know for sure, huskies hanging out of the back window or a custom B&W historic plate. There are 3-4 Solar Octane Pros in and around the Salt Lake and Utah valleys.

I do think it had a black plate! The historic plate looks terrific on this color. I'll be on the lookout as I've only ever seen that one Solar Octane. I kind of wish I could have found a Pro as they look so good, but I'm not crazy about this year's Terra.

I didn’t really like the color at first but it’s grown on me a lot (bought one for my wife). Once I got the silver replaced with black I started loving SO but can definitely respect you digging the silver bits because solar octane is quite striking.

Salt has been washed off but it still hurts my soul!

Yeah, the Terra color is just odd. I think the Terra Pro would look better with all of the bronze accents from the Anniversary edition.

    The B&W plate is EVLPMKN

Also in Utah, South Jordan. There are several Solar Octanes that live here in South Jordan. I love the color. The color pushed me to get one this year. Here is mine.

Great to see the Utah crew! You have a very nice build. The Gobi rack looks old school and very functional all in one. I do envy that Pro heritage grill and black valances for sure.

20241 week old. Haven't done anything with her yet. I do like the looks of the black hood rock guard. Also I th nk she needs some black accents somewhere along the side to break up the color a bit. Just starting to look f o r options.IMG_5362.jpg

Is the black outline around the hood scoop an oem item or aftermarket? I like the added effect of the additional color contrast. I also like the hood protector and have had one on all my previous types of vehicles, but found with the exception of my last jeep, that underneath small prbbles and grit cause the edges t o look worse than if left without.
