Yep! I decided this time around I was staying stock size instead of 285’s.

It’s obviously subjective, and I am still torn on which finish to go with… but would you say that your wheels look more black or more gray in sunlight next to that bright SO finish?

I really like the look of the factory Toyota TRD gloss gunmetal gray wheel, I just wish they were 1” wider. They do seem to be slightly more “gray” than your wheels. I also still prefer the factory Toyota center caps to the flatter caps on the FX wheels.

    Decisions, decisions…

Same here. Just stepped up the aggressiveness factor one notch over the factory Nitto’s by going with Ridge Grapplers.

They look more grey especially in the sunlight. But I like that they don’t look to e same all the time. There are a lot of times with the black wheel you cannot see it in a picture or at night. But with the gloss gunmetal I think it will look much better at night or when it’s cloudy day and no sun. It’s always hard picking wheels. I have been thru this enough times with a couple of sets of SCS wheels and if I would decide to go back and put my black wheels on no big deal. I definitely like the 8 inch wheel better and also these don’t stick out much at all just a little. Also another problem you cannot get a good pic with your phone. The pics don’t show how much more these are concaved.

Here is a perfect shot of how the 8 inch fits with the offset. Just sits out a tad more than factory. IMG_4616.jpg

Yep, I agree with you. I do have to say that solar octane is the hardest exterior color of any vehicle that I’ve ever owned to find a wheel that really meshes well with it.

I really do wish they came with that exact wheel width and offset from the factory.

    What sliders are you running?

Tyger Stars. Awesome deal. I received twice promo email with 12% off. $297.00 for them. I like them. Had them on my other 4runner Pro and they come with spray in bed liner finish and never had any rust or chips on my other set o left on my 20 pro when I traded it in.

The pic you sent from post 273 if they were both sitting side by side in person your wheel is more grey and mine is more darker. Just like the pic I posted in my garage how dark it looks under the lights.

Agreed. The one difference in that picture being the lighting…

I think mine was in direct sunlight with the sun behind me, and it was a little less direct in your picture.

These are body so technically they are not rock sliders but work perfectly for the wife and I getting in. I like them easy to prevent door dings. Stick out really nice but not over do it.

Thank you! Sliders are Westcott Designs 20 degrees with top plate. Correct, stock size KO2.

Awesome! Can you post any more photos if you have them?

I have the same rig, and also considering the stock size KO2s and Westcott sliders. Is your suspension stock? I’m not planning to lift mine for now. Do you notice any difference in handling with the extra weight of the KO2 versus the stock Nittos?

Here’s mine on the day I bought it. IMG_6979.jpg

    Awesome setup.
Are those smoked factory Fog lights that come standard on the Pro?

Some new Pros I see have the non-smoked Fog lights, Thanks.

Great looking rig! Suspension is stock. This was my preference after quite a bit of research. If you click my name, and check my messages I have a couple more pics with them. I have not noticed a difference in handling with them.
Here are a couple more pics for reference: IMG_5700.jpg IMG_5699.jpgIMG_5698.jpgIMG_5697.jpg

    Thank you! I love it.

They are the factory fog lights. I think the lighting is making them appear that way. I just went and shined a light on the housing and it is clear. There is quite a bit of black behind the housing that helps aid in the smoked look.

I’m really enjoying these “C” Rated KO2s, I’m glad I didn’t go 10ply. FYI : Rather than the 32PSI on the driver’s door placard Michelin /BFG recommended 40PSI for everyday driving for our 2023 4RTRD Pro. I have mine set at 39 right now and like the way they feel.

In its natural state, hasn’t been washed in a month wearing a new set of KO2s, Sherpa Crestone and C4 Fab Summit ladder should be here by the end of Nov. My install guy asked for a 1 week heads up so I’m guessing my next update will be before Christmas. BTW…. I ordered my Sherpa now because they run a Black Friday sale and I knew lead times would most likely increase. I told the sales guy that and got 10% Military/ Veteran discount across the board including the C4 ladder.IMG_1558.jpg

Thanks! Works really well for hauling two bikes, and with the rear window able to roll down at the back I can get my youngest’s bike in and out. When the whole family goes, my Alta 5 Pack Rack is really tough to beat. It’s like it was made for the 4Runner. I can lower the rack down and open the hatch fully without any contact with the bikes on.

Ok I need someone to look at and if they are seeing the same thing? I know in the past on my 4runner Pros the sun visors with the sliding mirror your light comes on. And also in the past I replaced all my interior lights with led’s. I have not at this time. Except for the mirror sunvisor light it’s seems like Toyota put either a white bulb or led bulb in there. They look like LED’s just in the sunvisor. The rest are all the dim looking bulbs. Has anyone else took notice to this? Curious on other thoughts.

I’ve never heard any hard numbers, but have wondered this myself. If you do a web search, you’ll see a range from as few as 2,000, up to 3,500 Pro 4R’s are manufactured per year (and that encompasses all four available colors). I know of only one other solar octane 4R in my neck of the woods.

Late fall colors pic from today:

I would agree that the sunvisor lights appear slightly brighter, but I believe they are still halogen bulbs. I have not popped them out to confirm this, but they don’t have that “crispness” that an LED bulb often does.

I could be wrong, but it wouldn’t make much sense from a production standpoint just to have two interior bulbs be LED, while the rest are old-school halogens.

I agree with just the 2 bulbs. But knowing from having my 17 and 20 Pro’s the sunvisor light did not light up like that. That’s why I changed them out in my other 4Runners. If I decide to add led bulbs the sun visors come with the pack. Just have to compare with each other.
