Ceramic Limo tint on back 5 and brow. Dark as legal on front two. Clear bra, or film, across front, including mirrors, lights, fender flairs, and door handle cups and 24” up the hood. ✅ So pretty and considerably cooler inside. It was 108° on the dash and didn’t even burn my legs getting in.

I can’t wait to wash her. On the roof rack there are two open holes facing up I have to find screws and washers to fill before I get her all wet.

I’m working on the next addition now. Pics to follow.

Cleaned and conditioned the redwood leather today. I did not do the third row. Maybe once I get to VA. It’s so freaking hot in TX right now!

Just purchased Plasti Dip to black out emblems and front chrome looking bits. It’s too hot but in a few weeks I’ll get’er done. Front and back.

Planning on keeping the lower chrome bits to accent wheels but who knows how it’ll all play out.

So far she looks super cool with the limo tint and etc.

Interior conversion almost completed. I cannot remove the driver side map light. Gave up. Will try again later.

Took her in to rebalance as she was wiggling a bit. Minor minor adjustment. However my brakes in front are shot. Yay me. Purchased EBC Greenstuff front and back rotors and RK shoes and pads. Ouch. Gotta be done.

Today I got the roof rack locked down with proper placement of cross bars for upcoming trip to east coast after rust proofing the hardware. Now everything that faces up or out is stainless steel and coated for long term use.

I hope to install new side mirrors (RAV4 with blind spot mirrors) smoked sequential turn signals, and downward facing convenience
Lighting with LEDs before I hit the road. Furthering the blackout look.

So I have had wheels rotated and balanced. Twice. I had new rotors and pads installed front and back. STILL have a vibration in steering wheel at higher speeds and more noticeably in sweeping curves. WHAT COULD IT BE? My son suggested a tire out of round but wouldn’t that have been found when balancing? Then maybe wheel bearings? Could it be an alignment issue ? It doesn’t pull that I can tell on the flats or while braking.

Again this is my forever vehicle. I want stuff done right. I don’t know what to check next.

And on a sidenote, I reached out to some of my MINI friends, and they suggested Black Demon for her name. Not feeling it.

I replaced mirror turn signals with a blacked out sequential unit as well as puddle lights with LEDS. They are all super bright.

    BeforeIMG_2003.jpg

Have to wait for daylight to get a new pic. Also need to figure out how to load short video clips.

Now I’m shopping for a cargo box for topside. Love the Thule. Anyone know what size fits the 4R best?

Lovely truck! It’s coming along nicely. Black Demon? No. She’s far too elegant for that name.

This! as much as a K&N used to be the big thing, I’ve recently learned they do a poor job compared to OEM or good quality aftermarket oem/style.
