I've had great success with my Kenda 33x10.5. I absolutely love these tires in any road condition.

Thats the only MT ive run so far. Id never go back to that tire, even if they were half off sale. Im considering going to a MT when i go from 275s to 33s or 34s. whats your impression with them in wet and snow?

So, you are comparing an MT to other types of tires as far as rain performance? Of course they are going to be worse than anything else you've ever used. This is just like putting DOT slicks on a car and then complaining about wet traction.

If you are concerned about wet and snow performance, you definitely should not be thinking about running an MT. You should be looking at 3PMSF all terrains.

Mine have been beyond satisfactory to my expectations in most conditions. Do they stop like highway tires in wet conditions? Hell no. But, I knew this before I even bought them.

This is one of the reasons I am leaning towards the Baja Boss AT, it is 3PMSF. I am also looking at the Wildpeak RT, but it is not 3PMSF. Ruby is still my daily in the winter, so I will need the snow performance in the winter.

This is a good thread. I ran Toyo AT3’s in 255/80/R17 on my Tacoma and really liked them. I’m about to upsize my 4Runner tires and can’t decide between 255’s and 285’s. My Tacoma really liked the lighter weight 255’s (53 lbs) as I wasn’t regeared but was tuned which worked well.

I’d rather not regear my T4R and I also like that 255’s shouldn’t require much trimming, if any, where 285’s may need a BMC. There are some lighter 285 options but I like E-load for the durability.

I have the 4Runner pro wheels and right around 2” of lift so offset should work well for both tire sizes and minimize my need for trimming things. Alignment is set to push the wheels forward as much as possible with OME UCA’s.

You said that they're the only MT you've run. So, you have nothing to judge them against.

And then you said you're considering switching to an MT again, and I said that you shouldn't be considering MT's if you're concerned about snow and wet traction.

    Did I miss something?
