So Ive had my 4runner for one month and decided to take it camping down in Joshua Tree and hit some trails. The 4R is stock down to the tires so I didn't do anything crazy, plus Im not very experienced. We basically went on Old Dale Road from HWY 62 in 29 Palms and took it all the way into the park and then did it again at night to find a good camp site. Threw in a couple photos of my friends Jeep as well. _B4A3604.jpg _B4A3590.jpg _B4A3543.jpg _B4A3535.jpg _B4A3611-PS.jpg _B4A3606.jpg _B4A3768-PS.jpg _B4A3741-PS.jpg

I love J-tree. So much to do and see. Nice pics (even if it included a WK2. I had one and it was a total lemon. That's why I have a 4runner now).

Ran Cleghorn Bar in Plumas National Forest couple of weeks ago. Trail was washed out from all the storms we had in CA last winter. Had to park 1/2 mile before end of trail/campsite because it got too rough and I wasn't running appropriate tires. Hiking with all the gear was a pain. But the end was definitely worth it.20170728_151935.jpg20170728_151940.jpg20170729_134558.jpg20170729_134616.jpg

Explored Inyo National Forrest this past weekend. Ran Laurel Lakes, Deadman Pass, Copper Mountain and Kavanaugh Ridge. 4Runner and tent performed flawlessly. Plus finally brought the right tires for the job.

I to was in that area last weekend . Basecamp was at Lower Deadman Creek. We ran up to Laurel Lake Fri. morning. Ran the Deadman Creek to Mammoth loop and then the Mammoth to June Lake trail. Just amazing trails to play on all over the place. Next time no base camp just back country camping. How was the your gas mileage with the RTT on. Had to be better then pulling a fully loaded trailer.

Just under 16. It also doesn't help running 285 MT's at altitude either.

If anyone else lives in Alaska you guys should come to the Alaska 4x4 Meet & Greet over Father's Day weekend. They asked me to make a short promo video for them from last years event.

Tomorrow, myjeeprocks and with the help of others, is going to be relocating some of those smaller rocks from this ^^ west end gate keeper to the narrow shelf at the creek crossing about a mile back. This is in lieu of a future project to shore up that part of the shelf road.
