Thank you! Yes, just a few $. I stopped keeping track. I don’t want to admit I have a problem.

Thanks, I thought so. Red accents carry into the interior too.

So for our friends who have made the upgrade. Please lend me your expertise.

Planning on new wheels soon 17x8.5 SCS Ray 10s. I think the offset is -38 on those. Was wondering about tire size for 33s and the need for a body mount chop? What’s the max tire size I can run for 33s? Is the BMC essential if you’re lifted? Does the offset need vary by specific wheel?

My vehicle is lifted at 2.5”front and back from Elkas.

    Appreciate your help.

SCSs are my favorites by far, its just the dang offset that made me go with something else (method).

Yes with -38 offset will require a body mount chop. I have 17x8.5 -12 offset and still needed a body mount chop.

If you trying to avoid chopping the mount 17x8 or 8.5 with 0 offset probably will work.

thank you for your insight. I guess what I struggle to understand is the offset piece. Negative is further out, closer to zero is further in. What’s necessary not to rub?

Did you push the tires forward all the way and it still required a chop?

I have jba uca, so I'm right at 4°caster. But I'm only at 1.75" front lift.

In the alignment, you can have the front tires literally pushed forward. This makes you less likely to have to do a BMC but then this is also why a lot of people viper cut. It pushed the tires into the bumper.

I’ve got 4 degrees of positive caster up front with Dobs UCAs and Elka shocks. So plenty of room, just don’t want to rub when turning.
What’s the max tire size people are finding with 17x8.5 rims?

I did have to trim the front bumper a little. But I did a bmc on my old tacoma(slight lift with 285s) so doing it on my 4runner was a simple/easy decision.

New TRD OEM wheels with Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires on my 2023 ORP. I had these tires on my Limted as well and really liked them. I am sure these will be just as great on the ORP as well.

Tires are great in snow, rain, sand, and on the road. A nice balance betwene a street tire and agressive off-road tire.

@Ctreg looks cool. Are the wheels matte black . . . they look a little bronzey in the second pic, is that the effect of the sunlight?

how do the tires drive and what did you have before

Nice. I have 2.5 front and even to the rear with low pro wings. So no need for viper cut. Was wondering about the -10 offset and for same size tire as you have. Wondering if BMC is necessary??

Good deal. Not a bad precaution and not too expensive. I’ll be heading to a shop for that bc I lack all welding skills.

Hi Everyone. I can see I’m in the minority here but I’m looking for examples of “street” looking 4Runners with 20” wheels and tires as opposed to the off road look and function. Trying to source limited & sport wheels and the proper tire size (ideally not 245) to match. Any help is greatly appreciated.
