Second attempt at buying a used 4Runner. Any help appreciated.

    Ouch! Called it. I wouldn’t trust the work of a dealer charging that much for spacers. Thieves looking for suckers can’t be relied on to do things right.

    Depending on how the vehicle was used by the previous owner/s, especially if it was used for off-roading/rock crawling, spacers may cause problems and accelerated wear with control arm ball joints, and CV joints. This is because 2 in spacers make the suspension droop 2 in more that it does stock. At full droop, the upper control arm ball joint might be near max, causing accelerated wear. If it goes beyond max , the ball joint separates, and the wheel falls off. Well, not really…it halfway falls off and tears up the rest of the suspension, axle, steering, and body work. Assuming it doesnt cause an accident.

    2" lift isn't going to damage anything. Take a look at the inboard CV boots. If they aren't leaking, you're good.
