Safe Key Fob Storage for Push-Start

The club is a joke.

Any seasoned thief that wants you car will get past it in a Jiffy.

And there is tons out there without full coverage just to save a couple bucks.

 

Full coverage and umbrella is the way to go.

 

That was the point of the video. Drill the lock, or remove the steering wheel. Most cat thieves’ll suss it out before jacking them, anyways...

 

The trouble of going through the process of recovering, or insurance paying for it is never a good experience I think.. prevention is better than cure .

 

When I go SCUBA diving, I've got to be able to lock the Fob inside the vehicle. I bought a Faraday pouch, but it didn't work. I tried a candy tin. No luck there either. Wrapped the Fob in Aluminum foil, and bingo! But I don't want to carry a roll of that around, so I've purchased a Vonetti box. I'll report on that when I get it.

 

There is a battery saver mode. It is covered in the owners manual. It turns off the fob to save the battery so no signal when off. No need for foil, faraday pouches, tin cans, etc.

 

Another time to use this function is if you are traveling with both keys and want to leave one packed away in the car and want to leave the car locked.
