At night the "spot lights" illuminates blue with the rest of the interior lights. When the roof lights are on the little spot beams also illuminate. The switch is wired into the high beams, so if the button is depressed (on) the roof lights will also come on when the high beam stalk is pulled. Alternatively if you don't want the roof lights with the high beams just turn the spot light switch off. It's pretty slick how the shop did it.

Picture 1 and 3 are no roof lights. Pictures 2 and 4 are with. The glare off the hood despite what the pictures show is negligable compared to the light down range.

Man that's some incredible throw on those. If I didn't need my roof rack for transporting kayaks I'd get a setup like yours today.

It definitely turns day to night. I feel ya on the kayak thing, I have to awkwardly put my paddleboards up there and just lay em on the lights. Probably not even an option for a kayak.

They do however make A pillars mounts. I imagine a 6" round light on a A pillars would be little excessive. A smaller light would work great though.

I've considered it, I've found pictures of people putting 6" Rigids on their A pillars. rigid 6 in light 1.jpg R1000T4RUDIT_Installed_01.jpg
But what I really want is this custom light mount.

I do like that grill mount a lot. Mounting there is all the upside without any of the downside

Me too, unfortunately it was a one off and I can't get in touch with the guy to find out if he'd be willing to make another or sell the one he has, so I'm in the process of getting quotes from some fab shops.

Flip the lights over on that grill light rack and it would be awesome! It covers too much of the TOYOTA or sombrero!

Sorta the same concept you have with your lights in the corners, pointing 360 degrees. Make it easier to set up camp, etc.
