I paid about $56,500 for mine it doesn’t have running boards or the blackout stuff, otherwise the same.

They had slapped on LoJack for 1k which I didn’t want which kind of brings the pricing to be about the same

At 54k you’ll have done better than I did

I didn’t get hit with the nitrogen line, I feel left out :anonymous:

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
No, it will have the standard tires….unless you pay through the nose.

If they honor it !! I will report back tommorow.
Even if they honor it , if they try and hit me with some stupid financing I'm not buying it . Also I'd imagine they will try and tack on extended aftermarket warranties I think the factory warranty should be fine on a yota

The distributor kept my wheels. I got TRD wheels (which turned out to be the old ones) shod with Nitto tires as a PIO, and the original OR wheels did not come with it.

I financed a small portion of my new 4Runner. Toyota has a promotional rate of 5.74% up to 63 months. I went with that, and plan to refi it through Navy Federal

Ah gotcha makes sense. I did always wonder where the base model wheels went when one "upgrades" to another set.

If you want the Pro wheels, BAM Wholesale always has the best price for these - $185 apiece. Also remember if you were to put these on yourself, you would also have the ORP wheels that it came with that you can now sell. The price Toyota charges for these wheels is outrageous.

That was kinda my plan a year ago but unfortunately my 4R was plagued with the steering wheel shimmy right out of the box. I’m not changing a thing and giving Toyota an excuse until I’m sure it’s gone.

Stick to your guns. It doesn't sound like you are desperate, and their rapid decrease in sales price indicates they'd rather sell it than have it land on the lot.

No, just business meetings. I still laugh. Guy we were meeting was about 6'4", big hat (did not ask if he had cattle), boots, picked us up in his big ole Cadillac, steer horns on the hood, gun in the glove box. And I thought yep, that's what I thought Texas would be like! LOL.

OTD varies depending on where you are, mainly sales tax and license registration fees (and usually a BS dealer paperwork fee). No sense trying to compare OTD, the only real variable is the cost of the truck before those add-ons.

Dealers make $$ on financing, some for originating the loan, potentially much more if they charge an interest rate above whatever the lender is using internally. I would fight them on not letting you use your own credit union (unless they offer the same rate and terms).

Toyota is also offering some very good rates until the 5th my sister just got a rav4 at 3.99%. I doubt any bank including getting financing on your own will compete with the subsidized rate from Toyota. Just not sure if the 4Runner qualifies and it’s also dependent on how long the term is.

    *update*

This morning showed me exactly why car salesman are perceived as scum . We got there when the dealer opened. I gave my written offer of 54k as discussed through text. He came back and said sorry were thousands off , the manager won't even honor the 56 that I quoted on the worksheet . I did lose my cool . Not proud of it but I told Him this is the reason why everyone thinks your profession is a joke and had a bad rap for being scum. Total time waste. Oh well what do you do . There's plenty of runners on the planet.

That's why I used TrueCar after recording the prices of all the options from the Toyota website. Dealers submitted quotes for the configurations they could get and it was easy enough to compare against MSRP and what I'd seen online, on the lot, or from other sources.

Damn, I was getting ready to comment and tell you good luck.

Reach out to Jones and see if they can get you a Lunar. Funny enough, I have the online sales manager phone number if you want to text him. I reached out trying to find the email of the salesman that sold me my Tacoma.

If you are in no hurry patience is the key. There is no loyalty anymore in dealers. My local dealer bought numerous vehicles from them. They won’t even sell me a 4runner Pro for msrp, I went back to my other one where I bought my 21 tundra Pro for msrp. Being a repeat customer I will get it at msrp, I won’t deal with the other one mentioned.

Same . Alot of people won't. The emotional attachment is to great and they sign the papers. That's what the dealer prays on. They knew when it comes in that will sell. Which they are correct I'm just not going to be the moron to overpay for a truck .

The biggest problem is majority customers need a vehicle. And the dealers have you over a barrel. I’m the 1 percent when I deal with getting a vehicle I don’t need to buy it where they think you need to. I have more than one vehicle to drive. Just my opinion. Just listen to how the sales people talk to you. Eventually things will change when the sales start slowing down and it’s happening.

You hit the nail on the head . My wife has had the same 2011 corolla s for 10 years and it's at 172k and still such a great car. I have an very nice 2004 durmax crew cab and I drive a company truck primarily . She has wanted a 4 runner for years and we are in a comfortable financial position that we can afford one . We will find one . We are not hard pressed . I'm almost wondering if there will be a flood of used ones in a year when they introduce the 6th gen .

This is the way to go. Just keep your old ORP wheels/tires for long road trips. Better MPG and ride than the AT tires.

Since you are not in a rush, I would wait and get a 2024. They should start releasing the allocations sometime this month. Also, shop outside of your region, or local area. You can find invoice-priced deals and have the 4Runner shipped to you for far less than what you would pay locally. Write down a list of must-have, factory-installed options and stick to that. All of the port-installed stuff can be added later. You'll probably end up taking off all of the PIO stuff and selling it for a loss.

Remember, there are dealers who will treat you right and want your business. You just have to search and find that dealer.
