I have some of my grandfather's patternmaker's tools. Many of them are things that are simply no longer available being made. Even tools that are still fairly common today were much better - produced to tighter tolerances, using finer finishes, using metal that would take and hold a sharp edge (even if it is less shiny). He's been gone 44 years, but I still keep a few items completely as he left them as examples of a perfectly honed edge.

Sure. My favorite is a Bergera LRP Elite with a Nightforce 7-35x Atacr. There's a 10 gauge that's a lot of fun too.

Tell us about the range. Searching on Google maps I found about a mile long flat spot in BLM land down some 4x4 roads. Closed right now due to fire restrictions but I'm excited to check it out in the fall.

Well, nothing that long but 200yds on my 10 acres. Could probably get the neighbor to let me stretch out to 450. My goal is getting land to set up 1000 yds. One can dream.

That would be so cool to have a private range. So that's your back yard?

I was lucky enough to shoot at 1,000 yards at a private range one time. Been trying to find a place to get that distance or more ever since...

It leaked oil like it was getting paid to. There would be a puddle in the garage in no time. Took it all apart assuming I could figure something out. Maybe it needed some liquid gasket?

I replaced an o-ring with a much thicker one. Did not need to take it all apart to do that...El. Oh. EL. Haven't gotten around to putting it together.

The rolling cabinets have drawers for: sharps, screwdrivers, plumbing, squares/angles, electrical, prying, 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" sockets and ratchets (SAE & Metric), SAE and metric combination wrenches, air tools, pliers/snips, metal working, manuals, automotive misc (hose clamps/tire stem/license plate screws/etc, grease and grease guns, saw blades, files, punches, specialty tool sets like brake caliper tools, tap and die sets, and more.

Old hand tools are 30+y/o Craftsman, new hand tools are Tekton. I've been using Makita cordless since my Panasonic cordless died, starting with the 12v and now it's all 18v/36v. Corded tools are usually Bosch. Then there's the 30+ yo 25 gal Craftsman belt driven air compressor. Old air tools are Craftsman and Porter Cable, new ones are Metabo.

Homemade shelves, rolling workbenches, and wall cabinets hold other stuff.

Just Photoshop a Milwaukee logo on it, and nobody will notice.
