As a fellow Canadian you can always give Craftsman a look, as mentioned by some folks. I run an affordable 120v Inflator off the rear plug, upgraded battery too but not even needed, and fastened it down in cargo (and yes that's a screwed down garbage can!) Good enough for me, before I invest in hoses like u

Viair are pretty bulletproof and come at different price points to fit most budgets. I have the 450p that's 100% duty-cycle (so you don't have to turn it off between fills) and it works great. Paired it with a Speedflate 4-tire inflator/deflator hose system. Couldn't be easier.

For Canadians this is a good value: https://nsor.com/rfx-rfx41000.html

Made in the same Chinese gulag as the Smittybilt but cheaper, and about as fast as an ARB single.

^Yep basically the twin-piston version of the Smittybilt, a variation having been available at Summit Off Road for a couple of years: https://sswoffroad.com/collections/misc/products/ssw-dual-air-compressor

I use a similar one from AliExpress, inflates each of my 35" tire from 15 to 30 psi in 50 sec. It's being throttled by the shrader valve, so you'd need one of those hose kits that inflate all four tires simultaneously to take full advantage of this inflator's flow rate.

My good ol' Milwaukee 18 volt cordless compressor works great for me. Nice to have something you pull out and carry around easily.
Also have a Powertank which I mainly use for racers and other big tire buggies in the desert.

I have a single ARB for my 33" tires. I couldn't be happier. Ran off a switch/fuse kit but relayed with a breaker for the power wires as they need to be protected at 40A and the switches/fuses are a max of 30A. Could have just powered it without a switch but wanted some redundancy.

So handy, air up people's tires that need it and of course for off roading.

I have the maxi-trac from Napa. It's a twin piston. The things a beast, I had to use it the other day, I came out to find a tire that was completely flat. I set the compressor up to inflate it back up to plug it, I let it run maybe 2 minutes and it had the tire up to 50 PSI. I pulled the nail, plugged it, and still had to let about 10 psi out of it when I was done.

I like that it will turn itself off at a pre-set pressure. And that it has a high-volume/low-pressure mode for inflating mattresses and such.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
I have the Kobalt 24v compressor mainly because I have a lot of Kobalt tools and batteries.
It seems quite durable, I have loaned it to buddies and they like it as well.
The only issue I have had with it is it has trouble with low pressure applications, it over fills ATV tires (4-6psi) to about 9-10psi. At higher pressures it works fine.
It was only $40 a couple years ago but is $48 now.

That's the one I want. But can it run long enough to refill 4 tires from 15psi to 38psi without giving time to cool off?

I believe it can. I watched a couple of videos of the DeWalt filling tires. The tire size wasn’t mentioned, but in each case it was 8 minutes from 0-32 psi. As far as the run time between resting goes, in the manual it says this:

NOTE: If the pressure rating for the item being inflated
is above 100 psi, note that the maximum run time is
10 minutes. Leave to rest for 20 minutes before reusing.

I obtained the larger Smittybuilt 2780. I plan to share with my nephew who has a Bronco with 37x12.5 KO2. He airs down from highway 40 to 25-30 for off road. My stock size AT I air down from highway 34 to 25 off road. Air up is fast -about 5 min for the big KO2 and about 2 min for my stock size. I am finishing up the install of the C4 fabrication 2nd battery platform to carry the Smittybuilt when on a trip. Its between the firewall and air box. No plans for hardwiring, just a good spot for carry and use off the ground.IMG_0430.jpg IMG_9520.jpg

It can do it on a full charge. But it might take a little while. Especially with larger tires.

I have same works well so far. Was looking at higher end brands that were several $100 more but for my use figured this would be sufficient. Seems to inflate pretty quick.

bought this digital tire pressure gauge (Jaco) and to release air. Used it twice. Works well and pretty fast. About a minute to get tire from 36 psi to 25 psi

Smittybilt. Took a minute to get from 25 psi to 38 psi. Will be posting a YouTube video soon of it in action

Can you use this without injecting the slime goo?

Does your 24v charger work on the 100w inverter? Thanks, not an experienced electricity user:cool: (gonna shop kobalt24v)

edit thanks, I see now that input wattage is listed on the charger sticker

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Just tried an old 45w(left) and the new 85w(right) that came with the current package and no problems at all.
I know they sell a +120w but I don’t have one. IMHO the slow charger is somewhat responsible for the long battery life I’m getting. We will see what the 85w brings. Hard charging lithium batteries shortens their life.
The pics leave out the yard tools…weed wacker, blower, hedge trimmer along with 2 other flashlights, drill, impact driver, more batteries and 2nd old 45w charger. I’m going to get the ‘free’ 90 degree drill with another (2)4A batteries /charger package this week as well…..waaaay too good of a deal for 150 bucks for all to pass up!
I also have had the 80v mower now for 5yrs, love it. I have a lot of gas engines to take care of and one less is welcome, especially a boring lawn mower. It ALWAYS starts up!

I have a Milwaukie 18V inflator so impact takes same battery. Now I carry a charger to plug and charge driving. It's advertised as Inflating 8- 33:12.50 on one battery. It is pretty impressive compared to the 12V which will still save you just slower and longer. Plug kit, impact, tow strap, toilet paper. Only use Toyota toilet paper. Trimmer, mower and everything takes same battery. They really good tools.

The basics just to stay rolling without calling anyone. A spray bottle of soapy water is good. I haven't yet but usually flip spare over. Easier to check pressure for tire light when it gets cold. Not as big a mud scoop or hook.
