Love it. Don't plan on moving house with my 4Runner. And, it looks cool.

It’s tall enough to cause problems with parking garages, and it’s a well-known fact that most people don’t actually go out and measure how tall their vehicles are.

I don't like the Pro roof rack and vowed to remove it immediately, but have not done so and I have had it for almost 11 months. The 4R is for my use only and there is plenty of interior space for whatever needs I may have. If and when I take the roof rack off, I probably won't replace it. It will have a bare ass roof and it will no longer serve as a beacon saying "I am a Pro" - which appears to be it's most redeeming value! The Predator Steps are coming off this month - never used them other than to hand wash the roof. I don't like the Pro exhaust either, but I have become tolerant of it! Otherwise I am really pleased with this 4Runner!

Any MPG benefit from being rackless?

Not fond of it since it looks like a bulky sail and isn't practical to mount accessories or transport things on. Toyota should of taken note from aftermarket options and done something low profile, flat and 3/4 of the roof(or from the sunroof back). With a flat rack you have the added benefit of hauling large items such as drywall, kayaks, ladders, etc.

100% correct! A fully functional and aesthetically pleasing 3/4 rack would be perfect!

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
One of the reasons I put a deposit on a ORP rather than a Pro.

That's one sweet build! We have very similar trucks! I love yours! and I totally agree about the rack! We used a random persons TRD pro vin to purchase the rack directly from Toyota lol. The only thing I would like to say is if your a hyper miler, don't get the TRD Pro rack. It takes a good 2-3 mpg off.

I liked it because I thought sitting to rear more than most it probably was out of windstream and made less noise. Mounting anything on a rolling refrigerator probably doesn't help. Looked like most the weight would be over rear wheels too if you were hauling.

I tried 3 different deflectors to get one that worked for bugs. There may be more better out there. I tried Weathertech, AVS 2 and AVS 1. I guess it depends on if you want to look good or keep bugs off. Toyota touch up paint sucks. AVS 1 worked best for bugs and since I don't care about looks as much as function. I thought it might not catch as much wind being towards rear. I would be curious if it changes when you use deflector.

There's a delete kit that fits 4runners and Rav4 on Amazon, but I wouldn't buy there. Probably melt when rain hits it. Counterfeit Toyota parts on Amazon!!! I saw a runner with the delete. It looked good and really different.

Yeah no kidding. I buy used so I will by one of these on road off road models I see here in 6-10 years. Toyota dealers don't mark-up around here. They might add on overpriced crap for salesmen to me extra money. I would hate to think about driving an $80k anything let alone a new Bronco just to have one. Frame will probably rust into in a few years like town cars if motor holds out. I hope they got the pleasant taste of satisfaction with that $80k.

True value is in long term. I do everything every 100k and transmission and coolant 60-90k with transmission cooler so now I just do stuff every few years or so. Mobil 1 in everything I can forget about it.

Yeah it does look good which looks is probably most I would carry in it. I don't think I can climb that high now. I wish the heavy hatch had assisted opening. Missed that one. I bought a sound system with a 4runner built around it so I accepted things I really didn't want. Like 3rd row. Should buy a Lexus if you want 3rd row. Wish I had bought SR5 and installed Alpine. I will probably have to eventually when this one fails. I will have to replace everything because of the 2 ohm speakers
