Thank you sir, is your last image, the giant redwoods out in Cali ? If so been a long time since I've been there, got to drive through the one w the hole in it before it got blown down a few years ago shame

 

This redwood giant is located in the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. I believe the one you are referring to (Sierra Redwood aka Sequoia) was up in Calaveras County...I remember driving through it as a little boy. FWIW, I think there's still one other giant that one can drive through but its on private land (so there's a drive-through fee), somewhere up in Nor-Cal I think its called something like the Chandelier Tree.

I wished I hadn't maxed out the memory card, those two were going at each other for a good ten minutes!

 

It happens, atleast you still got 1, maybe more ???? Good shots of that, better then none lol

 

Sadly no, it was a one-click and done situation!

But I did get some pretty flower pics while I was there before the battle!

 

Getting to observe the battle is its own reward, even without pics. I sometimes have to remind myself to watch in addition to photographing. Great shot!

I was fortunate that at this particular arboretum that there is a dedicated area to go hummingbird watching. Who knows, maybe I’ll get to witness another battle someday!
