I have no idea what this is, but thought it was cool when I took this pic a couple years ago. Actual size is around 3/4" to 1" diameter.

    Ah, buttonbush. Thanks!
I've always had trouble crossing my eyes at will, so I'm not seeing it, Photon_Chaser. But I'm sure everyone else will lol!

I kinda like the panoramic shots on the i-phone, just makes it a little simpler. Hey, I’m old so.

I’m sure you’re right. My tendency is opposite of crossed when I’m tired. I’ll be looking at my phone, reading something, and my dominant eye stays put while the other one goes for a walk. I then see two phones lol.

IMG_9679.jpg I started my 4R and this guy came to check it out. My natural rodent control. Reminds me of the new Woodrow Wilson bridge build. George and Martha (Eagles) moved their nest closer to construction.

    Cell phone shot!

Ya Ive actually found fossils on an old country road in the mountains of WVa. Some kind of plant in the slate where they cut into the mountain. Some kind of Hydrilla or Elodia plant.

I looked at a review of this TG-6. Said it was the best camera of its type on the market. Looks like it has some cool capabilities.

I use tripods most of the time, sometimes if just walking around I'll use a lens with VR (Nikon's Vibration Reduction - same as Cannon IS).

That pic was taken from a kayak with a VR lens, easier to get closer when you're on the water.

What are the problems and benefits you experience? I'm thinking I should migrate to RAW to preserve some detail and have all the pixels available. Just have never done so.

The main up side is the ability to recover shadows and highlights when shooting in RAW. It also provides more dynamic range.
The downside is larger files. Also not a big deal but you have to convert your files to JPEG in order to post.
I do all my post processing in Adobe Photoshop.

Also, keep in mind that VTECMoonWalker and I both have Nikon P900s (his has been modified). It's a bridge camera, and the zoom on those is 2000mm/83x, which when extended out halfway and beyond, magnifies every movement. For me, a tripod is essential. I've been using my DSLR more lately, simply due to the fact I more often shoot subjects that are much closer. I use a Nikkor 28-300 with VR on that.
