    Agreed 100%.

V8's do sound great. Easily the 3rd or 4th best engine sound. :duel:

V12 > V8 every day of the week. Only thing close is a flat crank V8.

Conspiracy or not, the majority of people need to be driving Trucks & SUV's. Why? Our roads suck. I had a Mazda 3 that i had to replace at least one of my Super Sport tires every month due to a flat tire from the F up roads. This is why I have a 4Runner.

Never will own a car again.

Almost all EV owners are not regular drivers, they find EVs "better", they
I owned one, got rid of it after a year, traded it for a Hemi Grand Cherokee that I absolutely love.

Same. My buddy got a Model 3 rental and we put that thing to the test, blasting up and down the freeway late at night and the acceleration is insane. 455hp.

Then another friend bought a Plaid S which has just over 1000hp in base form and it's stupidly powerful. Right up there with the newest Lambo and McLaren. Too bad there are very few places around here to safely push it up to speed without endangering anyone else. Got to get that thing out to the desert.

I recently started wondering if the term "Plaid" was a reference to Spaceballs. I wonder if anyone has ever asked.

I have a MK7 GTI manual... I LOVE that thing. Drives like a go-kart and rowing my own gears in twisty backroads is one of the best feelings ever. Yes, I get it, DSG is amazing, but I don't track my GTI so I could care less about 0-60 and shifting times. To me as a pure enthusiast, a clutch pedal = happiness. I would never get an automatic sports car if it offers a manual. My next car will be a manual Supra, so I'm gonna save all of next year for one since we just got our ORP.

Again, I would rather get the 3 cylinder Corolla GR than that stupid Plaid S.

It 100% does. I remember when it came out, definitely a Spaceballs reference. They also have a "Ludicrous Mode".

Elon's got a sense of humor, or at least someone who works for him does. The model names are supposed to spell out the word "sexy" as well. Though they didn't get the E, they had to sub in "3" because I think Ford or Mercedes owned the trademark on E.

Yes, both sound amazing! They're almost on par with the sound of a proper I6. ;)

    Not quite, but close.

    Agreed!

I won't be trading in my LS3 powered, TR6060 slush-box Camaro SS 1LE for an electric car. I have way too much fun rowing thru the gears on a curvy back road.

In the next 10 years I hope and I expect that I will replace my 4Runner with a V8 hydrogen SUV, and my diesel truck with a 15 L Cummins Hydrogen truck

How many of us received an incentive from the government to buy 4Runners, Tacomas, Sequoias, RAV4s. I'm sure Toyota sold a million of those. That's called selling and consumers buying

I live in the Midwest and frankly had a car for most of my time here. Not having low profile tires helps.

Clutch pedal does get old if you are in stop and go traffic.

Driving an air cooled Porsche 911 through downtown SF sucked - tried to avoid hills as much as possible.

Cash for clunkers certainly moved a lot of Toyota and Honda products.

Only 2 out of the top 10 vehicles sold as part of it were American made. Whoops.

    Yup.

Middle class government handout whilst sticking it to the poor people who would have bought those cars that got clunkered.
