The people I see with issues swear they turn power off and keep the door open with the key 30+ feet away for 5 minutes but I deal with pilots on a daily basis and whatever time we tell them we need them to wait is usually double the actual time required.

Point being, not everyone follows directions as they should not will they admit to not following them exactly as stated no matter how skilled they think they are.

I went with the Sprint Booster for 2 reasons. It had fewer negative reviews and the controller is smaller. Have had it for 6 weeks. Makes driving the 4R a bunch more satisfying. Acceleration matches gas pedal input.

i am so new to my 4runner (july 10th), that for me, it's just learning to drive a different vehicle...i do not find
it unpleasant to drive...yet!....and i hope never!

1st mod i did on the 4 runner was SB. 100% worth it. It's been more than a year and not a single issue. Just don't change settings while stepping on gas and you'll be fine

Just ordered the Sprint Booster, but a little trepidatious about it. What happens if you change the setting while on the gas?

Can't speak for Sprint booster but if you try to change the PC while depressing the pedal it won't change. I use the app connected via blue tooth because mine is tucked up under the dash, but if I remember right you get an error message

I usually take it off, but I forgot the last time for an oil change. The service adviser that drove it back said it had more get up than his 4Runner. I had to chuckle to myself.

I tried resetting the program, pulled over, put it in park but left the engine running. After resetting the SB, the accelerator would not respond at all. Turned off the engine for 2 seconds, restarted and on my way.

i have the PC and I enjoy it. it's mounted underneath the "push to start" button.. drove it from n.cal to san diego and back. loved it. I keep it on city mode for dd around.. as far as the SB i did like the option that they have the "pedal lock" mode..

chose the PC just because I did not want to deal with the modes 1-9 versus the PC is 1-4..

but I am curious for SB owners.. how do you like the pedal lock mode?

Hmm. I'm not done navel gazing over tires yet, can't start navel gazing over pedal commander vs sprint booster!
