And both are now plug and play solutions right? I’ll browse around a bit more and order from ya today or tomorrow! [leaning quad]

Did anyone determine how much different the new DRL only pattern is compared to the original high beam pattern?

Go back and read starting at post 33. I made some close up photos but did not do a distance comparison. The new DRL pattern is a wider spread and I find that it illuminates wider and higher. I like it.

Curious are those dark rectangles vertically aligned to each LED at that 3ft ish distance?

    Quick and easy install!

Ordered 5/20, arrived 5/22 and installed quad plugs yesterday with no issues. 2021 Pro on 2017 Limited

I like my KDSS. If I were to get a pro it would be an 18 in cavalry blue though.

Whatever they are, they're hard to see inside the projector bulb. But yes they're fixed vertically. They seem to have a kind of horizontal gradient though, they change shape from left to right as you get closer/further to a wall. They're unobtrusive during regular driving.

So you purchased the $40 option with no shutter and this is the only adapter needed to install 2021 led low/ halogen high headlight housing swap?
I just found a set on fb marketplace and am slightly confused about what I should be buying. I don’t have drl hooked up at the moment because I have a few amber backlights going on.

If you buy the LED low/halogen high harness but do not hook up the DRL/high-beam bulbs, you will not have DRL or high-beams. Come to think of it, you don't have high-beams right now.

+1 on these. On the 2022 replaced the factory DRL 9005 with a Nokia All Weather 9005. The DRL projects almost like a high beam. Can see overhead road signs from far. Without blinding anyone.

Hi, I’m definitely connecting everything on the actual headlight housing, I just have other lights connected to my fuse for drl. I sent you a dm.

Responded to your DM. Yes for LED low only, purchase the $40 adapter. If your high beams are still hooked up to the truck, you still have factory DRL as they are the same bulb.

I think I’ll change the price on the no shutter option to $35. I’ve gotten more efficient with that one with all the practice.

Can 2021 TRD Pro /Limited and 2022+ owners have a module like this?
Please note I don't think this VLED module work this way, I just used that pic to show what I'm looking for.

Sorry for the delay. Looks like you got your answer, but yes, I got the one with no shutter. Instal couldn’t be easier. I’m pretty happy with the setup. Hopefully you got a good deal on the used ones you found.

I have a 2023 and I just don't use the DRLs. Do you think the beam pattern would be good for slow speed off road driving? Either with the low beams, with the high beams, or by itself. I'd make a harness to power them independently just like I would a light bar. I'm not super interested in the quad high beam option since I'm planning on a pair of aux high beams.

I'd probably use the DRLs more if they were amber or 5000K white or selective yellow - some light color that's already on the truck, but I don't love the halogen in this application.

If you’ve never run a 9011 HIR, you don’t know what you are missing.

I'd prefer a more yellow light for foreground lighting, which is what I'm hoping to achieve with swapping the bulb and harness for my DRL reflector. I'm open to the 9011 though, if that's a better option than say, the DD SLF 9005 bulb.

My grill lights/ raptor lights doing the job of DRLs. I used to have amber and recently changed to white.

The bulb on reflector housing is used as an auxiliary lights or you can say quad highbeams. Not putting too much info as I'm not sure if that's what you are looking for. But if needed its on my YouTube.

Is this the video you're referring to? If that's the case, I think swapping a selective yellow bulb in would work great for a low speed trail light.

This video is just low beams in my Limited.

This is the additional highbeam one-
    https://youtu.be/vesGHtosIHk

There's another adding Diode Dynamic light bars in to front lighting.

There's another will post in future to show how I added the 2 spot lights. So for front lighting I have 6 additional lights.

    OY! So much info here!
Link from another thread in these forums said grab a drink and have a read for the good learnings.
No kidding...may be the drink, but my head is spinning.

    Simple issue.
have a 2021 TRD Venture with projector low beams and the hideous yellowish high beams.
I am not looking to spend piles on new housings, I just want to have a high beam close to the color temp of the projectors.

    What is the quickest/simplest route?
    These guys....

With my experience I can say those 3 options would be nice in highbeam mode but would be little bright in DRL mode. LA plus series would be a decent option imo. The beat DRL I've seen is Xenon Depot LED Pro with (free) DRL driver. But they are not bright as the 3 bulbs you mentioned.

If you are looking for even more brighter bulbs check for Hikari Titanova. (First hand experience with low beams)

    https://amzn.to/3R9AdXr

Haven't tested personally but might try in future a bulb called Novsight should be brighter too.

Thanks for the reply. May try the ones you linked.
I never turn my drls on anyways so not worried about them being too bright.
