Where is the load(s) focused when standing on the ladder?

I would assume the middle and lower attachment brackets.

Nice! Which Rigd did you get? The 4Runner one or the multi fit?

I got the multi fit. But should have gone with the 4runner as both hitch mounts are short. I had to weld a 3” long square tube to the inside of the hitch to be able to use the second holes for the swing out.

Thanks. It worked on the first holes but I wanted the swing out as close to the bumper as possible

I actually want the opposite since I want to add 2 4-gal rotopax. No need for the table though.

Ordered 35x12.50r17 Yokohama MT G003 and total chaos spindle gussets for the GX. Had to trim more plastic and hammer the pinch weld to avoid rubbing.

I know this is a bit old, but have you ever had any issues with that Thule carrier and the stock cross bars? ie, issues with contact with the roof from the mounthing "claws"? We just picked up a 2018 GX460, and I was about to order some Factory cross bars, but then starting reading about potential issues with clearance on Clublexus. Yours is the only one I have found running the same cargo carrier as I have. Thanks

Those crossbars are oem style off Amazon. The Thule carrier rubbed the roof a little when tightening them down but they’re rubber coated so no damage to the roof.

I have replaced the entire roof rack system with victory 4x4 though

I can tell you that I run a Thule Force on my 2020 GX on OEM crossbars and have no issues with any rubbing with the mounting claws. I think there is still a good amount of space now that I think of it. Hope this helps!

Thanks to both of you. I don’t mind a little rubbing during install, I can get help to keep the weight off while mounting for a trip. Was just wanting to make sure there was no rubbing once tightened down and under load.

    I appreciate the quick responses!

Finally new wheels for the 4runner and I also scored a spare F5 for the GX.

Are you still on stock gears with the 35’s?
I’m trying to decide on tire size for my GX. It looks fantastic by the way.

Yes still on stock gears but do have a throttle controller. I feel like the V8 handles them nicely. But I do plan to regear. I was trying to schedule 4.88s but they were out of stock. Maybe going with 4.56 nitro instead.
