Is a diff drop kit necessary with a 2.5-3” lift?

We just got hit with a snow storm so went out for a drive. No rubbing during the drive. I’m digging the 4runner. Kinda want to give my wife the GX haha

Went wheeling with both rigs. Both are running 285/70r17 falken at3w but only the GX is rubbing due to aggressive wheels. Time for a BMC

Cut up the front bumper for some clearance. Haven’t decided on a aftermarket bumper so this will do for now.

Hey @captrussia253 love the build! I am looking at trading in my 2018 4runner today for a 2020 Gx460 with only 8,500 miles. The wife has a 2018 Runner in white so I am looking at adding a car with more creature comforts of the GX but also keeping a 4runner in the family. I have read through all of the great updates, but can I assume you are still loving your GX? I am really close to pulling the trigger. Thanks!

Which of the two do you prefer when lugging around the fam?
More headroom in the GX then the Runner?

The GX hands down. More comfortable seats, more head room(I’m 6’3” and head hits the roof in the same position in the 4runner), V8 is smoother, the KDSS is more comfortable ride.... but damn the rear window of the 4runner is baller!

Mine came with black leather but I actually don’t mind that red. I say that until I actually would have to have it, hahaha.

The GX inside is a mile ahead of the 4Runner In terms space. I have the captain seats in the back and my kids love it. I loved my 4Runner but the daily driving of the GX is pretty sweet.

Buddy hooked me up with a tailgate ladder. Also wife ordered me a RIGd swing out. Will finally have a full size spare.
