    Good idea in theory, but when a vehicle is purchased in another province, you have to pay an extra tax to your own province, end up paying more than you need to

    The interval probably reflects allocation practices. Some dealers don't get much allocation. During my search, it seemed like those dealers were also the ones trying to charge a premium. I bought outside my immediate area from a dealer with a higher sales volume and lower prices.

    I did not know that, I thought you would be reimbursed for one after you registered. Is this true for all Provinces?

    I believe so, not all provinces have the same sales tax, so if purchased in Ontario for example, sales tax is 13%, whereas in Alberta, there is no sales tax, you would have to pay that 13 percent even though vehicle would be registered in Alberta. Aka spending more when you don’t need to.

    Yes in that case I see your point. My case would not be the same I believe 15 % vs 15% apples against apples.
