It's a Manuel and a V6, i was told the V6 was rare in the small cab truck of this era.

I never understood why people buy trucks with 2 foot beds on them and a crew cab. Nothing will fit in that bed.

Because they wanted to make money by dragging families into it. 4 door Jeeps and 4 door trucks, in other words, fake Jeeps and fake trucks lol.

Ahhh so what dealers around here do is they list vehicles as “factory order” meaning it’s not there but you can request it. It’s like fishing and that’s the bait. You call, ask about that 4runnner in stock, “oh well that’s something we can order for you but we don’t actually have it in stock yet. Come in to see us and we’ll go over details.” If you go to their websites they have every vehicle in stock, meaning you can order it and get it when it comes in. So false alarm

and congrats on your new baby! That’s our next goal! I’ll party a little extra for you

Alright, dealer called me today. I’m the next one in line for an SR5 and the dealer has been allocated one from Toyota built in a month roughly and takes two to ship to Canada so I’m 99% likely to get one of the last ones

Did this call put your mind at ease as far as the "Factory orders may change" blurb in the original paperwork?

Oh the joys of wanting a specific colour. I waited three months to get Lime Rush, and the dealership was surprised they were even allocated one. I gave them multiple backup colour's just in case as they do not even get many off road's to begin with. I came from a Tacoma too, and you'll love it!

Yes, but on other paperwork not shown it was agreed that if I didn’t get a 5th gen they would refund my money because I’m not taking a 6th gen

You can find a 5th gen out of state maybe? I bet you'll find one way before 3-6 months. 3-6 months feels risky, that's probably nearing end-of-production - SADLY!

Ugh....now I'm having flashbacks from my old E38 7 Series BMW ownership days where they all had the sealed transmissions and "lifetime" fluid and this was probably one of THE most heavily debated topics (fyi - they also loved to debate over Sprint Boosters and types of motor oil). We all understood it was clearly BMW's Marketing Department who came up with the concept of a "lifetime" fluid--most likely predicated upon the fact these cars also had a 36-month warranty AND their biggest demographic typically traded in their cars for new ones at or before that point. Good discussion!

Hey may be good news for us both, apparently the 2025 4Runner has been pushed back, not expected till Feb or later 2025 in US. Not sure if this means they will extend 2024 production or if it will shut down as previously scheduled and just wait for the 2025 to start late.

Too poor to buy anything now
I don't know what the sticker price will be for the 6th gen (I'm guessing about $6~8k more than 5th gens) but dealers are initially going to demand market price additions. The big advantage to the 6th gen is the HP increase.
As for myself, I'd get a late model/new 5th gen and add a supercharger to it for the HP gain.

Do it out of state, 3-6 months doesn't sound right to me. And they don't owe you anything, they don't have to stick by their word.
