    That's very interesting. What all gets reset when one unhooks the battery like that?

    Not sure. I think the truck/ecu "learns" some of your driving habits. And the drive by wire system adjusts to your driving style. That aspect will be reset.

    I did not lose any head unit settings.

    After the reset it took a couple/few days to settle in. Initially the idle RPM after start and idle when coming to a stop were much lower than it was before the reset.

    Idle rpm's crept back up after a few days but are still consistently lower than they were before reset.

    When you disconnect your battery it sets the throttle body or ECU back to factory settings. It takes a little driving for the computer to return to the learned value and the idle will return to normal.
