A few pictures of my '23 ORP. Thanks to the forum members who provided pictures of their vehicles. It helped me solidify my choice of Lunar Rock.

Got the roof top tent put on for the first trip since I’ve gotten her. The green looks good with the lunar rock.

it’s the iKamper XCover (original model, they recently released XCover 2.0).

So, I got this tent last April and we used this tent 4 times that summer mounted on our 2007 Hybrid Highlander. It’s iKampers “hybrid” tent. It’s not a hard shell, but it’s not the typical soft shell tent where you essentially have a bag covering it. Set up and break down takes about 5 minutes. It’s about the size of a king mattress. Don’t really have any complaints about it!

To be completely honest, if you camp in typical designated camp spots, you might as well spend $300 on a regular tent rather than $3000 on a RTT. Obviously the goal is to find the non typical camp spots. Last summer most of the camping we did was in designated spots, but we made it a point to find a spot better suited for the RTT. We found a spot near a peak with a great view. Setting up a tent here would have been iffy.

Overall opinion is that the XCover is awesome and a much better option than typical soft shell RTTs while being more affordable than hard shell tents. It’s probably unnecessary..but nice to have it just in case (hmmm..same logic I used when getting the Off-road instead of SR5 haha).

Thanks. I have been shopping hard shells for a few years, we spend many nights in our bean tent now, and I’ll keep that, but would really like to get something for travel and car camping at music festivals, or just quick weekend getaways up north. I’ll look into the XCover.

Drove it to the top of a mountain in the Sawtooths. The pizza cutters did awesome. I think the next purchase will be a compressor.

@Idayota, your setup is exactly what I'm looking to do (and we have almost the same rig)! What aftermarket roof rails did you use? I purchased some from etrailer to mount my kayak rack, but they're REALLY loud when driving. I ended up being able to mount the LockRack system without them but I still have them. I like the iKamper because I can mount my kayak on top while traveling. Curious to hear more about your experience with it. Here's my rig with the LockRack only on top. I'm down to the iKamper and RoofNest as my choices of RTT, but open to other suggestions.86692005-897A-4C6B-966C-B2E1DBAE8A13.jpg

    Thanks @Grtful4 !

I am just using the Thule Wingbar Evo cross bars on the stock roof rails. I already had these from my last car, and they fit the 4Runner. I’m trying to keep a classic 4Runner look while making it as off road capable as possible. So, I like the look of these more so than the popular aftermarket roof racks. They aren’t loud at all IMO.

If being able to mount more things on top of your tent is a priority, definitely consider the XCover 2.0 from iKamper. It comes with built in cross bars (I’m not familiar how easy it is to do this on other tents). Like I said in a previous post, the XCover is a hybrid hard/soft top tent. Set up and break down is just about as easy as the hard top tents, and it’s like $1000 cheaper than a the hard top iKampers.

Anybody have a lunar rock w the bronze TRD wheels? I’m getting a TRD OR but I’m trying to figure out if I get bronze or black wheels.

Just picked up the wife's new daily over the weekend. 2023 ORP. SEMA wheels be off soon for the TRD Pro wheels on factory size Yokohama Geolandars.
Not too much in the works other than TRD Pro grille, roof box and some accessories to make it easier for camping

there’s some pictures of the bronze wheels on Google. Both will look good, but in my opinion, you should go with the bronze! Either way, there is no wrong choice.

This is a 4runner site but my tundra pro LunaRock has bronze wheels on it with SCS wheels. But I’m coming back to the 4runner site with my new 4runner Pro.

yeah I found a couple but they’re not the best quality. Hoping someone here had them. Having said that, I think we’re leaning towards the bronze on the LR 4R we’re ordering.

Also, we’re expecting LR to drop off the color palette for ‘24 right? Probably have solar octane move down to the OR and have Terra as the Pro color…?

    Enkeis look so good.
I'm hoping to get Work Meisters, 57DRX or RPT1s by the time we need new tires in a few years.

Thanks! I definitely wanted to keep the weight down and paired these RPT1s with a six ply 265 70 17 KO2. For what it’s worth averaging 17.5 mpg with lift, sliders and full skids

I thought the RPT1s only came in 18s for some reason. Thanks for that info that makes me get an idea for the future
