I'd just be afraid of snapping off the top of the ball

I droop out before I hit the post so it's safe. I also plan to strap it soon just as extra precaution.

I was wondering earlier if they made a uniball post spacer just to lift the mounting location higher.

I think I know what you're talking about. Could probably jam a washer there.

Sounds fucking safe guys. Isn't the uniball tapered to sandwich into the spindle?

They make them for longer travel I just don't remember where. You'd need a longer post obviously. I've had it on my Silverado.

I'd be weary of lengthening the distance between a pivot point and a mounting point where lots of forces are exerted.

Think of your post as a toothpick. Hold your fingers touching each other and it's strong. Space your fingers apart and it'll snap much easier.

Long travel trucks have spacers on certain builds. The past is strong enough. I had a very well known custom shop build me my UCAS and extended posts with spacers because he's done it a lot.

Quality parts is where it's OK.

I think high misalignment spacers with a taller flange would work. No sketch there. Issue is finding one that'll work.

Looks good! I have those exact wheels on the way 17x8 4.75" bs? Curious how much if any does the front tires stick out past the top of the fender?

Also any chance you would be interested in building another bumper?
    Please let me know!

These are 17x8.5 with 0 offset. I love these methods. Best wheel made.

nothing too extreme, they have far more extreme stuff there but i cant have my vehicle broken so i stuck with the lightweight stuff. Was still fun and technical. The pyramid i took the easier way on, maybe next time ill air down and get to the top.

That's what I want to do but I just keep a cheapo air compressor in the trunk. Thing takes what feels like decades to get the 305's from 30 to 35 psi.

Yeah its a lot of effort and time spent on something that can just be thrown in the trunk. I kinda wanted to see if some skid plate type deal could be made for the spare tire area to hold accessories and such. Relocate the battery there maybe, compressor, tank, etcetc.

I want to fit a tank up near that massive computer under the trunk.

I think I'll get an ARB compressor for under the hood, so once I get lockers, I just have to add the servos
