Looking for rear sliding cargo tray

I just got a brand new OEM liner to sweeten the deal. I’m in for a swap + cash. I sent you a message with my contact.

 

at this point i'm willing to start making some! there seems to be a little bit of interest but not a lot - my complaint is that Toyota Canada does not offer the sliding cargo deck here - I even spoke with corporate reps when ordering my trd pro - I would like to get my hands on the factory setup to blueprint and then duplicate out of Stainless Steel. the deck itself would be made out of 6061 Aluminum with supports, all parts would be powder coated black (would use high-end sliders that are used for commercial service trucks to ensure these sliders would still hold a minimum of 400lbs while sliding smoothly) all parts finished nicely to the highest degree (i build high-end products)

I estimate that I would have to sell these for $1500cnd ($1100usd) to break even but with the hope to make $200-250 per unit - shipping around north america could get a bit pricy though.

am I the only one that would pay up for one of these? is anyone still following this thread?

I have a waterjet, brake, shear, Milling machine, Lathe, TIG welder and powder coating line, all standing by if there is a demand for a production run.

I also understand there are ridiculous wait times for bumpers and roof racks too.. the economy isn't doing great so i don't think this is the best time to start a vehicle accessory business but share this and hit me up - i'm curious on the demand.

I have a complete tray and assembly I just took out of my 2023 TRD Pro with 230 miles on it. Everything is brand new! I’m in S/E Michigan if anyone is interested. No trades needed as I already installed new flat carpet.

thank ya'll for the weld compliments, yes, Aluminum TIG. 25+ years experience. I may have trouble chewing gum and walking at the same time on my bad days, but the welding thing I got sorted

I suppose my note disregarded those of you that previously posted offering a sale/exchange. this is because of my location, I am in Vancouver Canada, and the responses in this thread (and that I have privately gotten) all seem to be on the east coast or central USA. Again these were not offered in Canada, so I do not expect people close to me to have one for sale, but a week long drive doesn't jive with my bank account for this item. in a perfect world someone in Washington state or Oregon/Idaho would hit me up with one, but so-far no luck. (i also want one that in newish condition, since my truck is just a year old)

EDIT: I found a 2023 TRD ORP in the NE ATL area with a factory installed sliding cargo deck (+KDSS & moonroof but no other SE Distributor extras) on the lot & decided to go that route. After talking to @BobbyB 2 weeks ago and trying to figure out a parts swap that was going to require a flight to ATL anyway, decided the factory installed parts in a new rig + justifying a mtb road trip back to Utah was gonna be less of a potential headache (and hopefully more fun!). Now just gotta decide which lift to install when she gets back home!

@Tazercat or @BobbyB if either of your Sliding Cargo Decks are still available, I’m definitely interested - please DM if still available.

FYI, I’m in SLC, UT but will travel (or have personal connections in MI and GA to leverage if a quicker turn is needed)! I currently have a 2010 TE with the sliding cargo deck but new job requires me to have a 2018 or newer vehicle by Jan 1, 2024. I’m in the process of updating to a 2023 TRD ORP but the western US does not have any new 4Runners with the sliding cargo decks installed. Lame. Definitely want in my new rig. Lmk! Cheers!

$56175 out the door. That includes KDSS, Moonroof, sliding cargo deck & all weather cargo liner plus a couple other small items. Had a bit better deal on a local ORP w/o the sliding cargo deck last month but I’ve used the sliding cargo deck in my 2010 TE a ton over the years (loading/unloading gear, etc) and can’t imagine not having it in a new rig. And, unfortunately sourcing this dang $350 factory option locally is just not possible these days. And getting parts to install after the fact would have put my final price well above what I’m paying for the one in GA. At least this way I’ll get some solid fall miles on the mtb along the way back west!

Debated making a color change but stuck with Classic Silver Metallic. Would have gone with Cement if it was an option. Bright Racing Red is what I would love to have tho… I have a special problem with Toyota that after +13 years with the 5th Gen they’ve never seen fit to offer a rig in bright racing red like the custom TE that completed the 2010 Baja 1000 or the FJ Trail Teams

PS = Solar Octane is too close to Burnt Orange and the Sight of Burnt Orange makes me Puke #HornsDown

 

Silver is fairly neutral. The lime green is as bad if not worse than the orange. I got the Barcelona red only because that’s what was on the lot. I wanted the magnetic grey. Cement is also a very nice color which I would have opted for. I do like the red with the black badging, not my first choice but still very nice.

Looking for cargo tray divider/fence that fits on the rear of the tray to keep items from falling to the rear when sliding out the tray.

 

I still have the OEM 2010 Sliding Cargo Deck divider in the basement. 4 bolts into the back of the deck, <10 min install. And, folds down when not in use. I’m on the road for the next week driving back to UT but can send pics when I get back. DM me if interested.

I'm looking for a swap! Couldn't find one in my region (Colorado) with a sliding tray and I'd really like one for work. Just purchased my OR this weekend so it's in new condition for a swap. I'd happily pay + shipping as well if needed. Just don't want to buy the parts from Toyota.
