I Agree. I replace wipers at least once a year ,sometimes twice. Ice &snow tear wipers to shreds. We even have these wipers called "winter blades" here that are wipers wrapped inside a rubber bootie to keep them from freezing up and not working.

Wow nice to know about the inserts. I was told at a dealer that they didn’t exist anymore. I prefer the steel factory blade. I think the weight of the steel puts more pressure on the windshield cleaning it better.

we don't have snow blades in Texas...

if we get an inch of snow, schools close down and grocery stores are empty...

Yeah........we pay no attention to snow until it starts measuring at least 12 inches or more!
Snow blades are definitely not seen much....most people don't want to spend the extra $ for them. They work great I can attest. I have a pair for my 4 runner that I bought at NAPA

My experience w/ Bosch wipers was not good. Almost out of the box they were streaky and chattered.

I use Rain-X now. I make two long road trips every year. I usually change blades before the first road trip of the year.

An inch? That's a major blizzard in Spring, TX. If we get a flake or two here people go apoplectic...

    It's ridiculous...
