Thanks everyone for the good info. I got the Tacoma TRD coilovers from a 2022 Tacoma brand new, 4Runner specific 4600s for the rear and splurged a little and got the B12 springs for the back as well. I'm debating the spacers for the front. Is there a good brand to look at for spacers or a brand to stay away from? I've never used spacers in past on my Tacomas. I'm planning on only a 1/4" spacer. I don't need much if any at all. I'm really liking the stance of it now. Just need some new wheels and tires. Thanks.

Just remember don't use the rear Tacoma shocks. They won't handle the 4runner weight and you'll be bouncing too much. You can keep your current rear shocks. For the spacers just buy aluminum, any brand is goodit is just a peace of metal.

I used the Tacoma rear shocks for a couple of years and the ride and handling were fine. I did eventually go with the 4Runner-specific 4600s when I got a great Black Friday deal. Point is moot here as the OP stated he has the 4R 4600s.

Question... I just purchased a 16' SR5 Prem after selling my 19 TRD Sport Tacoma. I had the stock "Sport Coils" in my garage bc i put Dobinsons on the Tacoma. My question is: I bought 5100's for the Runner and would like to use the Tacoma springs since they had less than 5k on them vs Re-installing the 90k Runner springs. Using the 3rd Perch @ 1.75 and a 3/4 Spacer in the rear. Couldnt find a info on this.

    Thanks!

Should work just fine. No different than re-using your stock springs.

The Tacoma coils look "beefier"... so i was concerned. Thanks

So…. I’m getting close to doing this. Tacoma coils and 4Runner coils are the same and no matter which circ clip I put it on the the Tacoma coils and Runner coils should give me the same advertised lift?

From what I hear the bottom bushing on struts/shocks is not the same size. So bushings need changed. Other then that they should work.

Negative. This information ONLY applies to the rear shocks.

Front shocks/struts/whateveryouwannacallthem are the same between the 4th gen 4Runners and up and 2nd gen and up Tacomas.

I’m using correct new 5100’s for my 5th gen Runner with my 3rd gen Tacoma TRD Sport Coils on them. Should be the same… my rubber coils have 100k on them and my Tacomas only have 5k.
