As soon as I get my Anderson Engineering manifold spacer on, I'm gonna tune mine. Looking forward to what it does with the throttle set to Sport.

Does the 10.0 include the adaptive cruise control update?
    Thanks

Lower the torque band 1000RPM from stock. I have one on my Tacoma. Love it.

i see on the website you offer remote tuning from $500 up to $850. is this a server sided tune or do i get to have a local copy of the tune file? how much for a 23 4runner if i have my own windows laptop? i assume i just need the cable, sw and tune file. can i uninstall the tune if i have to go to the dealer and if so can toyota detect that the ecu was flashed?

    Can answer some questions here
    - Yes, you should get a local copy that you can use to load and unload from your ECU
    - There is a server it calls to verify your ECU ID has been registered each time you load a tune on to your ECU, so you will need to have wifi access where you load the tune.
    - They havent said anything to me regarding tune and I did a CA Smog check and it came back clean as well.

thanks for that. im always leery about server based tunes after my bad experience with an audi tuner that went tits up and we all didnt know if the server was going to be shutdown. much prefer the way mustangs are tuned with an actual device that you download the tune to and no laptop or internet access needed.

Contact Chris for remote tune information. You will get a tune pack with the DIY kits. You wont need to flash back to stock to have warranty work done or regular service. You will have that option to flash back to stock anytime. Be sure you do not tell them it has been tuned. It is going to read the stock ID calibration.

Hey @rhexis @aesthetics the v10 release is rolling out right now and the internet is only used for the license check so yes you ahve a physical file (recommend to be saved to the tuning laptop and flashed from there and NOT over a drive or cloud service setup at all). You can purchase to keep the tuning cable/license or get a loaner. For remote tunes I provide all files and instructions and include phone/email/remote screen sharing as needed to get you properly setup and fully flashed. Loaner cables are available for shipping/handling down the road for any needs you may have. A loaner laptop can also be provided. Please note that loaners are first-come first-serve but I provide estimates and updates on timing.

I am happy to answer any questions here or via christopher@tacomatuning.com - 757-320-2628 (http://tacomatuning.com). Remote info and order links are here: https://tacomatuning.com/remote-tuning

Though I am Tacoma Tuning, LLC we are tuning 4Runners, Tundras, and FJs where we have supported ECU access!!

I know there is a level of trust needed when you hook up a computer to vehicle. We are Toyota owners and drivers just like you. We want the reliability we bought and the truck to respond. I would not be in this business at all if there were issues cropping up, no matter the cause. In the tuning community I have not heard/seen any issues relating to a warranty nor have any of my customers ever encountered/reported any issue that could ever be related to a tune. If we were pushing limits and making race trucks that would likely be different but the main goal has always been improved drivability and I think we tick that box over and over with each release. So I know by me offering the tune it makes me biased in these statements but they are all facts....and facts are something that weigh greatly in all my business and personal choices. I hope you consider trusting in KDMAX Pro as I have!

Met up with Tyson @Hotshot in Lakeside this morning. Tyson is a longtime customer with his 2017 Tacoma and his wife's 2017 4Runner. Tyson and his wife have loved the KDMAX tunes and were happy to hear about the new Pro-10.0 being released and got on the next available San Diego schedule. Tyson was quite impressed with how both his Tacoma and the wife's 4Runner improved with Pro-10.0. It was good seeing you again Tyson look forward to hearing how you both are enjoying the new Pro-10.0.

Located in Georgia about an hour north of Atlanta. According to the map, there is no one in the state of Georgia that offers this tune. Seriously??? There would be a huge interest here in Georgia if available locally or semi-locally.

I work for the company that owns Southeast Toyota Distributors and I have a lot of connections in Toyota dealers and with other 4Runner owners. My personal vehicle is a 2022 ORP. I would be interested in connecting with someone to have it tuned, possibly setting up a meet where multiple vehicles could be tuned.

If that is not an option, I would be interested in purchasing the tuner and software and doing it myself.

Tuned my Tacoma and my 4Runner a couple weeks ago. Haven't really driven them yet except for around the block. I did notice an improvement over the 9.0 in both of them though.
I'll be taking my Tacoma for a ride tomorrow. Gonna take the 4Runner out after I put my new brakes, wheels, and tires on it. Then I'm driving it to Texas.
    Stay tuned...................

I did the same about a week ago! Both the Tacoma and the 4R. Waiting for everything to settle in and for me to get some more seat time. But, right off the bat I love the 10.0 4R tune a lot more than the 9.0 and of course, WAAAAY more than the OEM tune. The optional tip-ins are worth it alone but there's much more refinement I've noticed so far. The Tacoma also seems like a nice improvement over the 9.0 but I really, really noticed it in my 4R so far! I would recommend! Customer service is amazing - have to note that, too!

Have been following this thread for a while. Ready to try it as soon as I see the numbers.

I don't doubt subjective claims, I just don't know how to use them in making a decision to buy.

Have built (and then extensively ridden) plenty of engines, although mostly inefficient older ones. Hard for me to get over the "no replacement for displacement" mantra that I've worked under forever. I can understand changing driving characteristics and torque curve with altering valve lifts and timing events, but it's harder for me to get how software can do it.

I assume in this case, tuners are capturing the margin between very conservative tunes from the manufacturer (to idiot proof the machine and tweak reliability and mileage) and more aggressive ones that give up a bit of fuel consumption and engine wear.

Finally took mine out and drove it.
This tune rocks!!! Of course, I set the throttle to sport like I always do. I'm really impressed with the update. This and the Anderson Engineering Manifold spacer really woke this truck up.

I have read about the “gear hunting” others with 4Runners have experienced.

I had never really paid attention or noticed that … until today.

I drove from my home in Georgia to Panama City Beach, Fl. for vacation. While driving about 80 MPH with the cruise control engaged, the gear hunting was very frequent. From what I understand, the tuning software helps that issue. After what I experienced today, I can see that is something in my near future.
