<-- Works for Toyota... I don't get where some of you get your facts lol.

Stop listening to your "dealership" with all their information... dealerships are Franchise owned... they are not Toyota. They are not given the information any sooner than they need to be given. Everything else is rumor mill. The Autoblogs often get their information before the dealership will as they are the ones who need to help bring the hype to market. The dealership just sells what they are told they are given.

The Highlander exists to allow the T4R to be what it is. They will continue in harmony. Especially given the current sales.

The T4R you own will be worth much more if these rumors are true.. could end up being a high risk vehicle... these should last 10 yrs if you do all the maintenance and have responsible techs work on it .

There's one of two things happening in this thread:

Either the OP is trolling everyone
    -or-
The 'dealer' is trolling the OP to get him to buy a 4R right now

No way is the 4R changing to a unibody in 2018. There would already be announcements on the new body style......just like all the other new body styles Toyota is coming out with in 2018. There would be rebates on the 2017's right now to clear space for all the 2018's......just like all the others that have new body styles coming out.

You are not hearing any news on the 2018 4R because more than likely, there is no news. It's probably the same as the 2017's.

Actually by the April 2016 at the Chicago auto show and New York they had the 2017 TRD Pro in cement on display and listed the colors available for 2017 as Barcelona Red, Blizzard White, and Cement. They did the same for the previous years as well. Only this year nothing was mentioned.

it is all over the internet the word is leaking out the 4runner is going to have big BAD changes .

I read 10 web sites stating all this . Toyota has revealed nothing so far ,so it must be pretty good leaks on this ..
my guess sometime in June there will be many 4runner fans going nuts , if this is true info..

Toyota would sooner dump the land cruiser before they dump the 4 runner. It's too expensive for most people looking at toyota's and creeps on lexus' territory. The 4runner has become the new land cruiser, and toyota would be fools to ever change or dump it.

I just read that 13900 Land Cruiser are build per month. That 50% of all Land Cruiser produced in Japan are sold in the Middle East not in the USA were only a small portion are sold. Toyota will stop producing the Land Cruiser line the day the Middle East stop purchasing the Land Cruiser.

The factory that produce the Land Cruiser in Japan is completely autonomous and they are producing all the parts used to produce one unit. That is one of the reason why the truck is so solid and robust because they are controlling from the inside all the production of every pieces and the quality control of every part.

If you have the chance to purchase one used you have a great and solid unit!
