Is it okay to ditch the factory engine skid plate if I don't off road?

    Then you would really wish you left the skidplate on…although I guess for other unrelated reasons.:p

    I was refraining to write this, but.....
    take a look under that beautiful engine, you know the one without the skid plate on it. You see that little black plastic canister under there?
    Now think what's going to happen when something make contact with that at say.....45 mph.

    I did this mod to remedy just that issue.
    It’s written on another forum, but it works like a charm!
    My Toyota Tech loves it!
