How long at the port?

Mine landed 7/30, dealer still says my delivery window is 8/26 - 31.

 

Picked ours up yesterday and brought it home. Was well worth the 3 month wait.

Mine reached port on 29 July and today it finally went freight. It is scheduled to arrive in Ohio at the dealership sometime between 9-14 September. I had a few things installed at port like TRD Pro exhaust, skid plate, USBs, and door film.

 

Mine was supposed to hit the port 7/29, but I think it didn't actually get unloaded until 8/10. I got a message from the dealership today saying that it has flipped to freight status and they expect it at the dealership between 8/26 and 8/31.

 

Funny enough mine got to port 7/23 and the dealer told me it flipped to freight status on 8/10 too with ETA of 9/7-9/13 to the dealership. What state is yours going to? I am wondering if mine will have a similar arrival date to yours, mine is going to Nebraska.

 

I'm in Portland, so it's about 20 miles away from me. I wish I could just go pick it up instead of them trucking it to the dealership ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Mine says arrived at the port on Aug/03, but still didn’t hear anything yet…… port is Long Beach, wondering anyone has the same ship like me…. Dealer did not give me a time frame

 

Ordered mine 7/18, was told end of August sometime for delivery. I never got any info on whether it was built yet or anything, so called on 7/28 to find out, and my dealer said it was a scheduled to be shipped from Japan on 7/30. Haven't heard anything since, so called the dealership yesterday and spoke with a guy who's not my dealer (was off that day), but he said he had access to the system. He found the vehicle and just simply said it's not in freight status, so he has no idea where it is. I told him about my dealer saying it was being shipped on 7/30, and he said there's no way my dealer could possibly know that because it's not tracked in the system. He told me that basically they won't know where it is until it hits freight status. Kind of disappointing.

At least he was able to give me a real VIN instead of the temporary VIN I got originally, so I know that it's at least been built at this point. I guess I'll check back with them again sometime in September. I just wish they were like your dealerships and went out of their way to provide info.

 

Sorry you've had such a hard time getting info on your 4Runner. They can definitely tell when it will be built, shipped and roughly when it should hit the port. After that, it's kind of been a mess as far as how long it takes to get unloaded and shipped (freight status) to the dealer.

 

Mine showed up as in-transit on the dealer’s website. Any ideas how long until it arrives? I’m trying to be patient but I’m more like a kid at Christmas. I’m located in MA

 

Mine showed up as inbound on the dealer website the day it changed to F status (8/18) and my window is 8/25-8/30. So I’m guessing two weeks or less, but I’m sure that’s region specific.

Thanks! I just heard from the dealer and was told it should be here between 8/30-9/4!

 

Some dates on my order:
7/29 - ship arrived in Portland
8/13 - on a train from Portland to Chicago
8/23 - got an update from the dealership that it is in Chicago and should deliver to them this week in SW Michigan

 

Will the dealer always put the car on the website when in transit even if you put a deposit on that vehicle. Or is it different for each dealer?

8/24 website listing is no longer there for my VIN

So close! Hopefully ready for my trip next weekend.

Mine also arrived today at the dealership! Picking i5 up within the next few days. Stopped by today just to sit in it and take it all in knowing it’s mine. so happy to be part of this new community. Spent a good year researching if this was exactly what I wanted.

Thank you so much. So I went from a Subaru Impreza in 99 to a Saabaru wrx in 2005 to a Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2011 to another grand Cherokee in 2014 to the Trd Pro. All the while I was part of communities for modding at discussing from each car along the way. Happy to have my new family and new off-roading adventures. I have a lot to learn as someone that went from a turbo wrx to two hemi engines to this but I am willing to learn, meet up, get advice, and be part of this new chapter and community.

 

Question,

When a Toyota arrives at "port" who actually receives it and installs the Pro goodies?

I just can't picture a dock worker installing factory mods on a 4Runner.

Tonight it’s sleeping at the tint shop. Suspensions, wheels/tires, and armor (etc.) are being installed Saturday.
