In the event you really want to track it, its most likely on board the Trans Future 5. Looks like a 1 day delay, scheduled for port tomorrow now.

It helps to know from the dealer when your runner is boarded and estimated docking date. Then depending on what port its going to start searching on one of those pages until you find a car carrier with matching dates

 

Salty we are in the same boat..literally. My orp arrived at Long Beach on 7/12. I’m in SoCal. The dealer sent me a screen shot confirming arrival at the port but current status is “unavailable.” Hopefully there’s some movement in the upcoming week. I have a few port installed options but nothing major.

 

I just took delivery yesterday. It was built early may. Arrived at the port on the 29th of May. Just to give people an idea.

 

My timeline:


6/22 contacted dealer about an existing allocation they had; I wanted to remove a few options

6/24 Deposit placed after confirmation of option removal

6/24 build date

6/29 left Japan

7/12 arrived at port (Long Beach)

“Expected arrival” from dealership: 7/25-28

7/23 got a text from the dealer that it’s arriving late tonight, and ready to pick up tomorrow morning (7/24).

All in all, it sounds like I lucked out. Exactly one month total from placing the deposit to taking delivery. And it only took 11 days to get from Long Beach to Salt Lake City. I’m a happy camper.

I still haven't heard an update from my dealer, been sitting there in LB since the 12th and my dealer is less than 50 miles away.

 

Let me know if you hear anything. We must have the accessories that are out of stock at the port or something

 

Thanks! Super excited to pick it up in an hour. It’s an SR5P and the only options are all weather mats + cargo tray option and moonroof. I don’t think any of those are installed at the port?

 

I was just told Aug 2-9 but the dealer said they have been seeing delays beyond the estimate. So Long Beach port arrival 7/12 and delivery to SoCal 8/2-8/9.

 

anyone else get updates on theirs? Seems like a load is going out from the Port of Portland Oregon this weekend.

I got a call from the Sales Manager to close and file paperwork tomorrow afternoon with delivery sometime this weekend or early next week.

I suddenly took delivery yesterday. No warning, dealer didn't have an updated status supposedly until it was delivered to them. So arrived at port 7/12 delivered 7/28. Crazy. I hope everyone else's get delivered quickly! One thing I think may have caused a delay, I had several port installed options (that I didnt know I could request to not have). Toyota may be short on some of those (I'm guessing) and Runners are sitting waiting for a skid plate or blackout emblems. Just a theory.

Congrats on finally getting your ride. I think we might have had a similar issue with our delay. Ours is still in transit, but when I put the vin in on Toyota’s website the build/spec sheet for our vehicle had a total of nine port-installed options. Our 4Runner spent a month in Portland but it’s now finally on its way across the country.

 

Looks like my truck just hit the port and they're expecting it at the dealer in Denver sometime the week of 8/23.

 

Anyone that recently purchased from out of state and registered in California have any advice/tips? To make sure things go smooth at the dmv?

 

Called the dealer last Tuesday and forgot to post the update here. Delivery window got pushed back a week, so now it is set to arrive between today and next Monday (8/2-8/9).

I keep refreshing the dealer page, hoping the "Coming Soon! In Transit" image disappears lol. I'm really hoping it actually happens this week..

 

Man, I signed the paperwork Friday and they kept saying it would come last Sat or Sun, but now its between today and tomorrow. ...Not looking like today either. After I signed, they pulled the listing on their site, and I am literally just waiting for a call. The anticipation is better/worse than being a kid the night before going to Disneyland.

 

It finally showed up today. Anything coming out of the port of Portland Oregons 7/12 ship should be delivered in the next few days.

Mine was delivered to that port on 7/29 but I have a few installs being done at port before it’s shipped to Ohio. I’m hoping it goes freight quickly (fingers crossed).

Went to Toyota Logistics today at the port in Long Beach. They are processing the vehicles as quick as they can. I was told they do 650 vehicles a day. They has a separate building for the Pro models where they were working on six or seven at a time doing the final mods. There did not seem to be any shortage of 4 runners. I asked if I could take some pics to post but was told no.

 

Did you see any lunar rock pros inside the facility? I am waiting for mine any day now haha
