Oh no. My mistake I thought the end of the line was in Memphis. I didn't know you were in Cleveland, TN. How many miles on the transport semi truck will it be to Cleveland, TN ?

Here is my status to give you an idea. Mine is going from Portland to KY. Got unloaded in Princeton Indiana which is 1.5hr from dealer and it’s been sitting there 2 weeks.

It’s about 5-1/2 hrs from Memphis to Cleveland. From one side of the state to the other.

    Here is my journey.

After couple of months of looking, calling over 40 different Dealers across WA, OR and ID.

I was able to secure an Allocation for AG ORP w/KDSS @ MSRP + $150 Doc Fee and TTL on 4/4/2022

    Build - 3/24
Adriatic Highway RORO left Toyohashi Port - 4/5
Docked at Port of Portland - 4/18
    Unloaded from RORO - 4/19
    Processed/Accessories Installed - 4/23
    Arrived at Dealership - 4/25
    Picked up - 4/26

My request was Not to remove Any protective materials from Interior or Exterior. Not to wash. Basically No Touching! =)

Awesome. I started searching in April of last year; every dealer in California and neighboring states wanted a bunch of free money on top of MSRP. I work for my money so I kept looking. Went on CarGuru and sent a bunch of messages of interest. I got an instant flood of replies from dealers that ignored the part in my message that said I was looking for a deal at MSRP, offered me 4Runners they did not even have and with a markup. I kept searching and got a reply from a dealer in Cleveland, OH who offered to get me the truck I wanted at MSRP; they asked for a non refundable deposit of $2k and promised a to get the vehicle but I'd have to wait. I got an email in July that a VIN had been assigned. I got to pick what factory installed accessories I wanted and none of the state-side installed accessories I didn't. Got my truck in late August. It's been love ever since! There are honest dealers out there, you just have to look and be patient.

I'm glad you got your truck. Army Green looks amazing!

I’m so discouraged on the lack of information and the fact that my 4Runner has supposedly been on rail since May 6 that I’m beginning to look at other SUV’s.

Dang. I was hoping I’d see mine on there. It’s been over a month now that mine has been ready at the Port of Newark. They said they don’t have enough truck drivers. I just feel like I’m going to be an outlier and receive it 4 months later even though it’s been ready for delivery since 4/29….

I wonder if you can ask the dealer for any freebies or a lil rebate for the inconvenience. I know it’s a stretch but if I was the dealership I would do that just to get the word out that I take care of the customers.

The screenshot shared by @blackcloud08 is dealer-only info. This link has good info that provides some level of visibility into the progress of your vehicle as it goes from allocated to freight to ground but not that level of detail. Waiting is tough, waiting once you start to finally see progress (as is my situation) is tougher. Hang in there, all!

Please correct me if I’m wrong.
“A” = Allotment and is either still in Japan or on a boat.
“F” = landed at port and might be in transit to dealer.
“G” = landed at the dealer.
    Any I’m missing?

My dealer tells me there's a GT status (for ground transportation) between F and G but I've never heard it reported in these threads. Sounds like F (freight) is up to and including rail transportation, and GT may be truck transportation from the rail yard to the dealer.

G means it's in ground transport(tractor trailer), F means freight which means it's anywhere from boat to dealer as some are saying theirs bypassed G status.

I got bad news today. I knew something was off and I was right. My 4Runner was seriously damaged while being transported by rail so I will not be getting it. The dealer has offered us the next allocation they just got but I’m not sure what to do. It’s the same as the previous one but not the color I want. This one is Barcelona Red and it’s one color I said I would not take. The first one was Magnetic Gray. I just don’t know what to do

That really sucks to hear. I feel like for such a purchase you should stick to what you really want. When it comes to color it’s something you’ll be looking at every day so you should really like it.

Agreed, terrible news, so sorry to hear that. If you have the time and patience, I'd wait. I'm approaching six months (days away from taking delivery, finally) and passed over my trim on a different color two months ago because I didn't want to only be mostly happy.

Does your dealer really feel bad about it? Maybe they can do the footwork required to trade their allocation for the color you actually want?
