I have a '19 SR5 Premium. Lumbar support on the driver's side is nice. We make a 3K mile round trip from Central WA to SoCal and maybe to Flag at least once per year. No issues but a little stiff if I ride shotgun all day! Have a gel back pad that helps on the passenger seat. I am 6+' and a little under 300lbs.

The seats are nice and comfy to me. I've spent hours in them at a time and had zero discomfort or pain. My wife has back problems, and she agrees that they are comfy for her as well. The best seats she ever sat in were in my LTZ Silverado, but she says these are comfier than my previous Raptor.

I have back/hip sports injuries and I personally find the 4Runners seats to be very comfortable for several hours of driving.....but I am comparing this to my 3rd gen whose seats are now basically cushionless pancakes lol.

If the 4Runners seat comfort was a deal breaker, the last thing I'd do is get a Ford just for the seats. I'd either consider a GX or go to an upholstery shop and have them add foam where needed to make the seat comfortable for you.

An upholstery shop will be cutting/fitting my Ruff Rug protector in the back around my drawers very soon. Will ask him out of curiosity what upgrading a seat's support would cost.

Yeah, my last three main vehicles were silverados and they are better for sure. But.....I can also drive all day in the 4runner seat without cringing for sure. My wife has a Chevy Trax that after 30 minutes was literally torture.
