Help Tracking Rock Like Sound in Rear

    It's the same root cause as the hood latch sound. The liftgate moves a tiny bit as the vehicle flexes and the sound comes from the latch moving against the catch. A little bit of white lithium grease or silicone spray silences it.

    In both cases a small sound is amplified because it's attached to a large resonator (the hood or the liftgate).
