    Good news?

My beloved 49ers are on a three game win streak and the Golden State Warriors are 18-2.

    Chris Cuomo got indefinitely suspended.

Jesus saves...because he shops at Walmart.

I get this cast off my arm this morning. Had surgery to repair the tendon in my elbow and have had it from my hand to my shoulder for 3 weeks. I know, first world problem but I’m so ready.

Ever so often you must call the cable company, and upgrade.
Got a sweet deal to speed up my internet from 200 something to 800 something, and it’s cheaper now,
Plus the cable boxes are like ten years old. Exchanging them tomorrow.

My mom was recently diagnosed with dimentia.

Mom’s gotten to know her local locksmith VERY well the last couple years (he no longer charges her and I think he’s at her house a lot). I had him come by today to fix a doorknob. First time I’d met him. He told me that he’s noticed a big change in my mom in the last year.

He has an autistic son. And my mom always sends something home with him for his son. Today he told me how much he likes mom. How kind she is. And he told me that “your mom is pretty much the only friend my son has ever had”. Made me tear up. I tried paying him and he wouldn’t take money for labor. He said “I’m never gonna be a rich guy and I’m fine with that”.

Humbling. I’m gonna send him a Home Depot gift card for Christmas. I’d like to send him a $500 gift card and mom
probably owes him as much. But I sorta don’t wanna corrupt with $ what he and mom and his autistic kid have developed… I think all of them are giving each other something very valuable to each of them and money isn’t a part of that equation. I sorta don’t wanna corrupt that with $$. They all seem to be doing just fine without my input.

I hope this fits the “good stories only” subject.

SR5Limited….Coldwater Creek has silk long johns in pants and shirts. I purchased some for my husband who was a farrier (shoes horses) and he said they were the warmest he’s been when working out in the cold. Coldwater Creek has an online catalogue.

I don’t work, I tried it doesn’t pay. I do it for exercise.
OMG I can’t believe I waited so long to upgrade. I had DVR recordings of Chris Brackett that I can’t transfer. (Now you can)

Neighbors tried to smoke me out of the house this weekend. I almost died, next time I’m wearing my gas mask.

    Kyx nerfbars, TRD roof rack.
Our adoption of twins (15 boy and girl) in our care was finalized a few weeks back and their new passports come tomorrow. We had to postpone a trip to Jamaica from December to March with the delay. The kids have never been out of the country. We should have a great time jumping off the low cliff there. The place is beautiful.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
My wife came home from the Hospital in Portland. 5 hour trip in a friggen taxi, but she's HOME to me. First off, they made it out of Portland intact. No attacks from the nut cases. Second, the roads were a bit snowy, and frozen. Taxi was a Toyota Seneca, I think. I know it was a Toyota, that's what matters.

Sorry it's a few days late, but I've been busy taking care of my dearest love, so I couldn't post. Here it is, finally, though. She's been getting slowly better and better. Slow but sure improvements. I'm terrified of getting the Life Flight bill, but we'll deal with it when we must, as we must. I may be able to take enough of a mortgage on my house to pay it. Or a Reverse Mortgage. I don't know.

Take care, all! Stay safe and healthy.

Our whole family got together for Christmas in January in Colorado. Our kids are grown, so getting them and the grandkids together all at one time is a challenge. We had a great time in Colorado Springs. Took mountain hikes everyday and had dinners together. We are so blessed.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
My good news? I’m still upright!
Retirement is more tiring than my old job but keeping the live-in supervisor happy is paramount. The “P” words are scary…painting and plumbing……now my old buddy….the shovel…. is coming soon with landscaping my backyard, we don’t get along all that well anymore so my supervisor is letting me bring in some outside help. (Big yard).
But….I also get to design and fabricate some new steel gates which is fun for me.

Sure you can. Discount will usually give you something for newer tires. Or you can always sell them on Craigslist.

finally getting some help at work...Im a therapist at a VA facility....our department normally has 6 therapists who stay fairly busy. little over 6 months ago, we had one person retire and 2 others found their way to management positions, so the 3 of us remaining have been damn near red-lined trying to take care of patients, all the 'admin' work and collateral duties that come with the job. We interviewed 3 people in January who look like they're gonna be great for our department and our patients.....but our HR department is utterly useless and has drawn the onboarding process out until this week. we finally have one therapist with boots on the ground and the other 2 starting next week. So, great news for our Veterans and the overworked staff including the oldest guy in the department (me).

Well, that's a tough act to follow, but here goes.

I installed lift "blocks" today on my Tacoma because I wanted a little more height since I added the shell. Everything went smoothly, no problems were encountered whatsoever and it was actually fun.

My mechanic escapades rarely, if ever, go like that!

Turcs and Caicos. First time here. Absolutely amazing. Friendly people, there is no war, no COVID, no Ukraine, no Biden or Trump, no talks about gas prices, pollution, weather. Life is at a different level here. Expensive beer. Like ouch. Otherwise, a true gem.
