I only blew a .08 hot dogging the ZX9R. They told me to stop drinking, I says “that’s unAmerican”! So they made me go to something five nights a week. The deputy might have saved my life.

My story is that on our second date I asked my wife why she got divorced and she said that he was an alcoholic (that's the short story).
I started cutting back right then and in a couple of months I had stopped drinking.
I've had a beer or two over the years but the only time I really hit the booze was the day my mom passed.

If you think this is hot, it’s about 140 degrees in Honduras. I was supposed to go out on a test and tune boat towing fishing trip. But the storms are going to roll in at dark.

O’ya, I found out the dump in a neighboring county takes hazmat stuff. So I got a friend to help me recycle the old gasoline from the SandRail. And whatever else I can think of.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
Well, so far, I'm doing well, driving on my fake leg. Decent on the accelerator, good on the brake, which was my biggest concern. I do well on acceleration, just have to learn to slide it forward and back in SMALL increments.
On the brake, I admit, I do get an occasional "OOF" from slamming myself forward into the shoulder belt part of the seat belt, but it's only a brief happening. Again, slide forward and back in SMALL increments. Since there's no ankle in the fake leg portion, sliding it is the only way to do it. I hope someday, once I get the final version of the fake part, it'll have an ankle in it, but who knows.

I've got a bad feeling that one day in the future, I'll have to get a vehicle with an AT. I've been driving MTs so long, it'd be another entirely new experience for me. When I was still whole, I'd have to drive the vehicles at work, all of which were AT's, and anybody with me would catch dash panel in the chest for the first few stops I'd make. They learned fast to wait until I settled down in them, though.

Oh well, the fact that I can drive my lovely wife to her doctor appointments, medicine pick-ups, and so forth now is a huge relief. Heck, the hardest part of driving now is getting in and out! :D

    Have a great time, all!
    Pat☺

Those of you on well water. I got these “Well Safe” pellets from Amazon NSF approved.I’ve lived here over twenty years and my well is 600 foot deep. I’ve never shocked it! I dropped in ten or so small pellets and almost instantly the water felt fresh and clean.

I guess you just pop the cap off the well and dump it directly in there?

Yes, the pellets are small. And “sink” to the bottom. Says twice a year it’s corrosive but says can’t use to much.

Had prostate surgery on July 27, during surgery they took several 'samples' of tissue surrounding the prostate. The results came back..... NO traces of cancer! Relief comes in a few different ways, but the NO traces of cancer is probably the most sastifying. I'm 3 weeks out of surgery and healing well, I'm planning on being in my dump truck on 28August!

Well I went for a Diet Coke run. Got what I thought was a $100 out of the ATM. Then I realized it was $300! I left the extra $200 at the register and I can pick it up tomorrow if nobody claims it.

I experienced a widowmaker heart attack and a cardiac arrest while running in a trail race on 8 October 2022. My life was saved due to the prompt CPR given to me on the course by other runners (one of whom happened to be my nephew who is a paramedic). I did require a half dozen shocks from a portable defibrillator to bring me back. I went away from of that experience with 2 broken ribs, a broken sternum and a punctured/collapsed lung from the CPR, as well as 2 stents to address blockages in 3 of the arteries going to my heart. Six months after my 'incident', I ran the 2023 Boston Marathon and have a 50km Ultramarathon trail race coming up next month. On the 1yr anniversary of my heart attack I will also be running in the same 50km Ultramarathon trail race where I had my heart attack last year. This time I will complete it! Second chances are good!

I just got back from a cross country trip from Atlanta to Spokane and back and did about 600 miles of off-road in Wyoming (Wyoming Back Country Discovery Route) in my 2021 TRDOR.

Awesome trip and the only time I had to use any of my spare fuel was when I gave 4 gallons to a very unprepared vacationer who ran out at Logan Pass in Glacier National Park…

    Cheers,
    Bob
