Like I said, I think I'm going to love mine but look at other options too, there's some nice stuff out there

 

Update: my Gobi Rack shipped today!! Now I’ll pace daily waiting on that delivery truck!!

 

How long after the order did it ship ?

 

Ordered Feb 6th... confirmed Feb 11th.

Plus an additional 15 or so days for it so ship across country to me...

My bad, I read the thread the wrong way. I thought he got lucky and it shipped like a few days after he ordered. I just ordered mine and they said 16 weeks. =)

The wait is over!!! Now just need to find some time to install!

 

I have an SSO rack on order. Hope to see it about August time frame. The SSO full rack is no drill which I wanted. Also if you are looking to add a RTT it would be perfect for that. If you have any questions shot me an email.

 

I ordered my Gobi rack in early March so it’s been about 14 weeks. I received an order update yesterday and they said it should ship next month. We’ll see if that holds true if so it would be around 18 weeks from order date to arrival which is what @Daytonaviolet experienced.

 

I also order a mask. I think by the time I get the mask, pandemic will be over

 

I saw the masks on their website and thought the same thing!

 

It's finally on!! Installed my Gobi last weekend and I love it. Hang in there, the wait is worth it!

Rigid industries E-series Midnight edition 40". Gobi has it on their website. I ordered it through them because, at the time, they were having 10% off sale so they honored that and gave me 10% off the light too.

 

I had a Gobi on my Wrangler and loved it - great rack, solid, customizable and works well - used it for bikes, boats, RTT and a fireworks seating platform. I'm currently sitting at 15 weeks post-confirmation on the rack for my 4Runner, with no ETA (or even guesstimate) in sight. Their customer service is friendly but not very helpful. For the life of me, I can't figure out why they don't hold at least a little bit of inventory in fast-selling racks?!? Or why there aren't any retailers who stock at least one or two at a time - it's not like you're going to struggle selling either a Wrangler or 4Runner Gobi?!?

2 things I know for 100% certain: You get what you pay for and good things come to those who wait.

 

I didn’t realize my dealer was doing me such a favor pulling the gobi of one of their custom 4runners so I don’t have to wait. I love the gobi rack and would have waited but from the sounds of it I will have it in days/weeks thanks to the GM I am working with at the local dealer helping me with the build. They do mostly Land Cruisers but my 4Runner is a fun project for them I think. I will get pics when the rack goes on. So far it’s just tint, clear bra, and slee sliders

 

The short answer is they can't make them fast enough to keep them in stock.

 

I also love gobi racks, but I honestly dont know how they are still in business, pay upfront and wait MONTHS.. lol NOT going to happen. Plus I personally like the naked look, I took my stock rack off and sold them.

 

I agree, I love the slick top look without any rack or rails at all. If I didn't need a rack for cargo space, I definitely would not have installed one.

And you don't pay up front, they don't charge you until the rack is ready to ship.

 

GOBI is totally worth the wait. I ran one on my 2015 4R, loved it so much the day I bought my 2020 4R I ordered a GOBI (Feb 5th) just got it on 6/24! long wait but damn it is sexy! installing tomorrow
