Well the Runner is living its best life up here in NE Tennessee. No complaints from any parties involved.

New front end components happened or me Fourtoad and the Blazeland kit has been put through its paces a few weeks back. That harsh grating at full lock is often the steering limiting bolts and the curved hard stops on the lower a-arm that grates when the plastic gaps get mashed and fall off. A smattering of grease on the bolt heads and on the curved bracket help quiet this down until you can find new plastic caps for the bolt heads.

Well all 5 vehicles, 4 bikes and 1 trailer have all been switched from FL tags & registrations over to TN tags & registrations. Between $93 - $98/each! My 4Runner is now a TN 4Runner and makes us proud daily. Still has the knock when turning at full lockout. Haven't investigated the fix Parker suggested yet. Too many more pressing irons in the proverbial fire right now.

Well we seem to have a dash light out? Does anyone have lights that backlight the a/c controls? Only our a/c button is lit with the dash. Pics for reference. First was with a flash so you can see the a/c area and the second is without a flash so you see it isn't lighting up.20211209_182539.jpg 20211209_182232.jpg

we got those as a close out on TireRack.com. We had the same wheels and tires on it before the accident that broke them. Just replaced them with the same thing.

To change the bulb, remove the knobs off of the 4 slider controls. Carefully pull the face plate off and there is one of those miniature push in bulbs. I think there was a green plastic sleeve on the old bulb that I removed and slid on the new bulb.

Hey! I know it's been a while but what headlights did you go with, and was it a direct fit? Or did you have fabricate a housing? I have a 1994 3.0 4wd manual and it's hard finding headlights that don't require some form of fabrication to get them to fit. Thanks!

I think led T5 bulbs will work behind the A/C controls, I replace them in my 1999 Tacoma.

We have sealed beams, the whole style glass light bulb unit. Was a direct fit for us. Ours is a 91. I believe you have a different headlight than me. You probably need the bulb insert.

Well our Runner has been busy loving life and breaking hearts. Taking her back to Windrock off road park in May. Still have a funny clunk in the front when turning slow at full lock on uneven terrain.
Been busy repairing the Rav4 with the 3.5 2GRFE. Her water pump pulley bearing was starting to fail. Another fun job with that transverse engine. Got the new pump in, filled it slowly up with new coolant and went to bed. Get up next day and see all the new coolant all over the floor and drain. UGH!
Removed new pump and investigate. One o-ring was different from OEM and the new Aisin replacement. Put the old o-ring back in and reassembled. Filled with water to test this time. Next morning more leaks! But this time it's from the drivers side of the engine. WTF? Start exploring and it the coolant crossover pipe now leaking from the gaskets. Seriously! We weren't even messing with that side and it just randomly decided to shit the bed now? Ugh. Still working on her. Replaced her front struts....again. Noticed one of the new struts had a fucked up strut center stud and fucked up the nut trying to install. Removed and getting replacement for the replacement. Never a dull moment here. At least she is holding her coolant now. Drained and filled with the correct coolant.

If you have read thru any of this long thread of mine, I am not sure why you could possibly think I would want either a cheap or easy fix......lol

She is still living her best life here in the Tennessee mountains. Her only issue currently is a/c. We have changed her compressor several times already. Guess they are just made like shit. And we have driven her so much, her valve covers are starting to leak.
    Thanks for the love!
