I don't know if I've already said it, but while I was in grad school, we had a large bull elk, a big mule deer, pheasant, quail, several albacore, and a wild hog or two in the freezer. I guided on wild hogs while in grad school. I made salami, Italian and breakfast sausage, dynamite chorizo, pheasant a la king, California boar chops (Great!). I'd work on my thesis whenever I had a timeframe that I needed data for, hit Tommy's Burgers, go home and nap (I'd often be out all night and then in class), watch the FOOD channel for recipes and cook for the wife, who was supporting me!! Even tried making my own pasta, Irish/Gaelic dishes, breads, etc. Going to McDonald's was an extravagance for a starving grad student, getting cheese on my burger was for birthdays and holidays!.

Nothing is better than a ribeye steak (cooked medium, btw) and fries. Kroger had an awesome sale on meat a few weeks back and I bought every single ribeye I could find. This bad boy only cost me $11!

Don't worry, that ketchup is only for the fries. I wouldn't dishonor a steak with ketchup!

Done. This fish is from the same hatchery as the "Tigers" and shares the genetics. Im not sure what they feed them, shrimp, something? Most fish will taste a little muddy after 13 inches but not these. Even the belly meat and the discolored fat under the skin was good! You should see the oils that dripped into the lower pan. I will catch another one. Says, "Limit 7 inches and only one Brown Trout over 24 inches". Apperantly they're stocking the big adults.

I decided to make (or try to make) home made kolache's.

I found an air-fryer recipe on You Tube. I used "hot" Earl Campbell links and that pre-made pizza dough. I was able to ration it so the entire can of dough covered the 6pk of links. I didn't want to halve them at all.

After they were wrapped, I covered them with an egg wash on top. That's what gave it a golden brown look. Cooked it at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Flip 'em half way through.

It felt like a Wings & Fries kinda day. So I pulled out the air fryer for some "Mild" sauce coated wings.
