I visited family in Florida last month. I had a few very good days on the kayak, but I didn't take a lot of pictures. Here's one of the better snook I caught. I think this one was 27". I definitely understand why they're such a desirable gamefish down there. I'm pretty sure I lost more good ones than I landed.

Got me my largest Halibut to date last weekend from my Float tube, just under 17" (need to be 22" to be legal). Also a bunch of Spotted Bay Bass and Barred Sand Bass.

No fish pictures but we did get some
Boat work done this week. New 60 gallon bait tank in the cockpit, new 1kw transducer installed, and replaced the steering pump for our auto pilot system. Ready for the offshore season to kick in! Just need some consistent good weather and water to warm up.

Anyone have recommendations on good fishing rod carrier? For longer trips it would be great to have rods on the roof to have more space for other stuff inside.

it might be dictated by cross bars I have — I have a hullavator and therefore Thule crossbars. Maybe I need to stay with Thule offering here but curious to know what folks here use.

Trout won that round. I’m never getting up at 7am again.
I lost a 5 dollar lure, tangled my spool had to go get line from Walmart. Caught a 7 inch fish luckily it came off at the shore.

I just caught a nice largemouth on the fly rod. First cast. A big yellow perch all lit up orange and yellow. And about ten black crappie. And a couple blugill.

I lost my best bonito/light tuna lure when I snagged a rat at the Seal Beach jetty across from the old steam plant as a teenager!
