Interested to know about your experience with upTop, i.e., product condition when it arrived, installation, utility, etc. Also, do you know if these are compatible with sunroofs? Thanks in advance.

Learn to drop the rear headliner and get creative… I removed my pro rack this weekend and the rear passenger side bracket fell into the headliner. There was just too much red loctite.

    Hey!!

Everything was securely boxed up, no issues. Initially, the time frame was 6-8 weeks, and they got backed up some, so it ended up being a little over 11 weeks.

I actually caved and had a local shop do it. Trying to get an extra body to help was a pain, so figured I wouldn’t stress it.

This works with the sunroof, no issues! Slides open and goes up just fine!

I’ll be driving down to SA early June, from Idaho, so if anyone’s interested and along the way, I can make a pit stop to drop it off, save you money on shipping!

I'm just curious - what is it you all don't like about the Pro Racks? They look pretty functional to me..

I dont have part numbers, but have my entire stock kit for sale to include the hardware. I did the rack delete as I dont plan on putting anything up top any way. LMK...

Not a Pro rack, but I used a soldering iron on the bolts of my SR5 to heat up the lock-tite just a touch. I also bought a few 50 mm long 8mmx1.25 studs to thread in place of the bolts while I was working on mounting the new rack.

I think it is more of a beacon that says "look I am a PRO" than a nice functional rack. I plan to do the Pro rack delete modification which removes the upper tube and gives the Pro 4Runner a sleeker look. I feel my eyes are always drawn to the rack. The Pro rack does not blend!

I see what you’re saying - exactly what you’re saying. I’m not thinking like the younger me. Now I see functionality over cosmetics and that is neither right or wrong - simply a age related perception! Sucks getting old…
