IMHO, exclusive colors should stay exclusive. Putting previous Pro colors on everything cheapens the Pro trim.

Lol they have been doing that on tacomas for years. Hate to break it to pro owners but toyota doesn't care about your exclusivity, they're just a big corporation who needs to make as much money as they can.

I'm truly baffled how some pro owners get seriously butt hutt over that. Truly first world problems. You guys have a beautiful color and need to change your way of thinking. At the end of the day if you had a young hot women (or man) to be with short term or long term in the sack you would be happy right? There are literally billions of other women or men out there, you're not going to cry saying it cheapens the person you're with right?

If you purchased it as an investment, I'm sorry to say but even the precious pro is a mass produced vehicle not a lambo.

Maybe and a big maybe if sites like bat are around in 20 years and your 4runner has barely been driven in that time it might be a collectable but that would have more to do with miles than it being a pro or colors and like I said its foolish to buy any vehicle as an investment. Just drive it, it's meant to be used as a tool to transport you places safely and reliably so enjoy it for that

Like my profile says, I don't own a Pro. Actually never have as this is my first 4Runner.

I simply dislike fakes, re-badgers, "tribute" cars, etc... Maybe the marketing strategy is too convince buyers to spend ten thousand less on a SR5 and just buy the badges, wheels and roof rack off of eBay.

A color doesn't make it a pro. They make white black and grey pros if you have any of those colors in a lower trim are you a pro clone now? If you started putting pro badges then yes but like I said 1st world problems right.

There Might be something to that strategy. Sure does make for some good advertising. Notice they don’t advertise the SR5 much. It’s always the Pro in photos.

It's just a color, and it's just a Toyota. If someone is buying this as a future collectible, they might want to invest in something else.

That you pay a premium for. And part of that premium cost one would think, would be the special colors.

There's nothing special about Toyota, they've just figured out how to get some people to pay more for perceived exclusivity. If exclusivity is that important to you, don't buy a Toyota. Buy something else, or, just get really good at something that makes you different.

Expecting something exclusive from a mass-market consumer brand is like spitting into the wind.

As someone that bought a 21 pro in lunar rock, it doesn’t bother me one bit that 22 will have lunar rock in lower trims. It doesn’t make my pro in lunar any less “exclusive” to me. If you want an actual Pro in Lunar Rock you need a 2021. Not any other year. That’s fine by me. Now….whether I keep it or look to upgrade to a 22 lime or yellow rush? Who knows…..or a 23 in whatever color?…..

Whoever thunk that was wrong. Toyota is trying to make $$ and they’re pretty good at it.

Never said it was wrong, it just takes away from the specialness of the pro that year.

It’s not that important to me, and many mass-market consumer brands put out exclusive, special, limited edition type things, and yes Toyota is no different. And honestly, I don’t give a rats ass what Toyota does, but it still cheapens, takes away from or what ever to you want to call it. Now for me, I’m going to be able to get an Army Green OR, so it works for me.
