I'm at the dealer now but I did not see anywhere on my screen that looked like yours. I definitely did not see the yellow utility button. I didn't even see where you found the ECU that you described.

Ok so here's the deal from the dealership. They scanned it and it gave Code C00632A for yaw sensor stuck in loop and to replace center air bag sensor. They said the sensor is $1200, would have to be ordered, and not covered under my extended warranty. They said that they could clear the lights but it may come back. I drove it back home (about 8 miles or so) and it has not come back on.

I don't think it will come back. If that sensor was bad I would think that it would have returned right away. Sadly $180.00. I just didn't have more time to keep messing with it before the appointment since I had to take the day off. Its the wifes 4Runner. I will keep following your post though to see if I can get to the ECU stuff with your updated video once you get to it.

I remember reading somewhere about not turning the car on while it's on jacks, or even making sure the key is not near the car. Not sure how this makes sense with an off road vehicle.

I'm still waiting on the cable; it's probably easier to just drag my old desktop to the garage than trying to find a laptop.

I’ve heard the same thing. This probably wouldn’t occur off road, since you probably would never shut off the vehicle with the two front wheels in the air. I guess it’s possible, but unlikely.

Perhaps it’s all about the system loosing track of wheel position if moves from where it was last time it was shut off?

I finally had an opportunity to take my vehicle to a dealer today. They reprogrammed the steering sensor, and all my problems were resolved. It took about 45 minutes, and they charged me $154 before tax. I will reach out to Toyota again and see if they will reimburse me for this charge since I only have 3100 miles on the car right now. At any rate, it's so nice to have my cruise control working again and the multitude of lights on my dash turned off!

Here's hoping you can convince Toyota for a reimbursement after having had a lift put on, however small it was.

Whoooo finally bought a cheap laptop and got it fixed. Worked on windows 11 just as well as anything else, the instructions are awful but @jdoggat22 helped a ton with the videos. Actually plugging it in and doing the "calibration" took 5 minutes max.

@jdoggat22 I followed your videos on YT (and for installation on Windows 10 comp).

When I ran the scan, it returned a code of C1406. Basically left hand front speed sensor. I've replaced the sensor itself and cleaned it. Only thing I did not do was replace the wire to the speed sensor. And one about ABS ECU something or other.

When I do the test mode, my abs and skid control lights DO NOT flash. And radio never says in "service mode." Am I forgetting/missing something?
