Yeah I think having the engine running and turning the steering while on jacks caused it. I don't think there is anything that I can do other than taking it to the dealer tomm.

    Any suspension or tire modifications?

Let us know what they say and do please.

Some of us are 4 hours from a dealer and it seems to be hit or miss whether they will do anything or not.

No. This started from a tire rotation. I started the engine and turned the steering while it was on jacks. That was enough to cause this.

So what does the service manual on techstream say about doing a zero point calibration? Is the only option to do it through a techstream diagnostic computer?

The manual I linked above says its for 2016 to 2020 models, in there there are 2 options- techstream or short pins 12 & 4 in the DLC connector.

I'm currently cleaning out my computer to make it a throw away then ill dive into all the hacked versions of tech stream and hopefully download the 21-23 manual. IF the 23 manual isn't in the hacked version ill subscribe to the manual only and take some snipits of the proceedure.

as of now zero point calibration on 21-23 is only available through techstream. I have reached out to Launch, Foxwell, and Ancel; Ive asked them which scantool can perform these tasks. No replies yet.

So I can try the paperclip per video on pins 12 and 4 for the 2020? I don't want to mess up or short anything out. It would be nice not having to go to the dealer tomorrow.

If you have a connector in pin 12 of the DLC then yes it should work

It doesn't look like I do. The 4 wires are on the longer side of the OBD connector.

Looks like a dealer visit tomm morning. I was able to book an appt for 10 AM. I can't believe that disconnecting the battery didn't reset everything.

Too bad my Autel AL539B doesn't have anything to calibrate it.

Hopefully if you tell them you want zero point calibrated, they leave it at that and don’t try to “diagnose” other unrelated crap.

I didnt post how to install techstream yet but thats how you do it in techstream.

The wire from Skid control only puts it in test mode just like you do in techstream.

I have an older version of that cable that I had from my 2013 Tundra. The problem is I don't have an old laptop. I'm on windows 10.

Nice. Did you have to do virtual setup or something crazy like that? I wish I could download the version 18.

If one wanted to add the TS wire to their connector to do the SST wire (paper clip) method. The wire goes from pin 24 of this connector on the skid control ecu.

Installing version 18 that I found online. Is there a tab for doing the zero point calibration?

I'm not going this working before the appointment. I can't get past the registration key and it also won't connect to the VIM.

Theres a patch you download also. You launch tech stream from that patch.

Before that, turn off the internet on your laptop, ooen techstream and push cancel on dealer registration. The on the top menu bar, 3rd or 4th optiin from the right youll find in one of the menus a drop down that allows you to select a device. Select mcvi.

Lauch techstream from the patch and connect it it to the truck.

I got it connected on my Tundra. Do I just go to ECM program and select ABS etc? I just need the zero point and it should clear the lights.

At dealer now. I could not find the screen that you were on for the reset memory and test mode.

Once you get it connected then follow my video. Under abs/vsc/ trac ecu. Click utility on the left side of the screen (blue button) then the test mode/reset menu comes up.

Need to make a better video....
