Engine Blown at 10k?

Glad it ended well.

(The following is not directed at you, it's just my dealership hate coming out).... I wonder how the first tech would explain why he said oil spilled in the starter since he would have had to have seen oil for it to have spilled into the starter (if that's even possible).

 

What a great and swift end to this story. So glad the induced starter failure didn't take anything else out. Now you can enjoy your weekend and your 4Runner.

 

Glad to hear 4runners are still good, or at least those without dealership installed alarms.


Now get those raptor lights out before they cause your next issue. Ok, just kidding.

 

All manufacturers need to start offering vehicles directly from the factory. Screw the dealers.

 

I think they should give you a lifetime of free car detailing inside and out for that screw up

 

Where is this karr thing installed on the vehicle so the rest of us can find and remove it?

 

And a new hood liner because their mistake made it smell like a salvage vehicle.

 

Why the fuck dealers bother to install stuff like that I wouldn’t want the car even with it removed.

 

Some types of smoke under the hood can cause damage to cad plating on brackets and fasteners. Have a look.

 

My cynical side thinks they hope they will fail spectacularly in the future, which gives the dishonest places another opportunity to make money off of trusting customers.
